How to Install the Main Display on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter

This tutorial covers installation of the center main display on an arwibon q30 scooter. The process includes mounting the display to the handlebar bracket, reconnecting the main display plug, wrapping the connector area, reinstalling the spiral wire sleeve, and testing the screen before riding.

Tools and Parts Needed

Prepare:

  • Arwibon Q30 main display
  • Four display mounting bolts
  • Allen key
  • Electrical insulation tape
  • Black spiral wire sleeve
  • Protective gloves

Step 1: Position the Main Display

Place the new main display on the center handlebar mounting bracket.

Align the four mounting holes on the display with the threaded holes in the metal bracket.

Hold the display in position while starting the bolts.

Step 2: Install the Four Mounting Bolts

Insert the four Allen bolts.

Start all four bolts before tightening them fully.

Then use the Allen key to tighten them gradually in a cross pattern.

The video shows the display secured in the center of the handlebar at about 00:15.

Check that the display does not move on the bracket.

Step 3: Locate the Main Display Connector

Find the connector coming from the new display and the matching connector in the handlebar wiring harness.

Before joining them, check the connector shape and locating slot.

Do not force the plug together in the wrong direction.

Step 4: Connect the Main Display Plug

Align the two connector halves.

Push them straight together until they are fully seated.

Check that the locking section is engaged and that the two connector bodies are pushed together completely.

Do not pull or push on the individual signal wires.

Step 5: Check the Connector Before Wrapping It

Before applying tape, lightly check the connector by hand.

Make sure:

  • the two halves are fully seated;
  • no terminal appears pushed backward;
  • the wires are not being pulled out of the connector housing;
  • the connector does not separate with light movement.

This is worth checking before the connector is covered because a loose display connection can cause a black or unresponsive screen.

Step 6: Wrap the Display Connector

Use electrical insulation tape around the display connector area.

Wrap around the connected plug and nearby wire section.

Keep the connector stable while applying the tape.

Do not pull the wiring excessively tight.

Step 7: Organize the Other Handlebar Wires

Bring the display cable together with the other control wires in the main handlebar harness.

The supplied procedure also shows the nearby control branches being organized with the main bundle.

Continue wrapping only where needed to keep the connectors and wiring together.

Step 8: Finish the Wrapped Connector Area

Continue along the harness until the connector section is covered and held in place.

The purpose here is to keep the connector protected and stop the loose wiring from moving around inside the handlebar bundle.

Do not wrap so tightly that the wires are stretched.

Step 9: Reinstall the Spiral Wire Sleeve

Take the black spiral protective sleeve removed during display disassembly.

Start wrapping the sleeve around the handlebar control wires.

The video shows the sleeve being worked around the branch wiring from about 01:57.

Rotate the sleeve around the cable bundle rather than trying to pull it straight over the wires.

Step 10: Continue the Sleeve Down the Main Harness

Bring the left and right handlebar wiring into the main center bundle.

Continue wrapping the spiral sleeve downward along the stem.

Keep the cables grouped without forcing them into a tight bend.

Step 11: Finish the Wire Sleeve Near the Folding Area

Continue until the main handlebar wiring is covered down toward the lower stem and folding mechanism.

The official video shows the completed cable organization at about 03:08.

Check that no connector or loose wire is hanging outside the bundle.

Step 12: Check Steering Cable Slack

Turn the handlebar fully left and then fully right.

Watch the display cable and the rest of the harness.

The wiring should move naturally without becoming tight at either steering limit.

If the harness pulls against the display connector, open the sleeve and give the wiring more slack before riding.

Step 13: Turn On the Q30 and Test the Display

Insert the key and turn on the arwibon q30 electric scooter.

The official video shows the power-on test at about 03:19.

Check that the main display powers up normally.

Verify that the screen shows its normal operating information, including the values and indicators supported by the scooter.

Step 14: Final Check

Before riding the arwibon q30 scooter, confirm that:

  • all four display mounting bolts are secure;
  • the main display does not move on the bracket;
  • the display connector is fully seated;
  • the connector area is wrapped and supported;
  • the spiral wire sleeve is back in place;
  • the harness has enough slack for full steering movement;

If the display remains black after installation, switch the scooter off and recheck the display connector and terminal positions before assuming the screen itself is faulty.
