This tutorial covers the installation of the front fender on an arwibon q30 scooter, including reinstalling the headlight bracket, front wheel, axle spacers, front brake caliper, and brake cable.

Tools Needed

Prepare:

  • Allen key set
  • Open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
  • Front fender
  • Fender mounting bolt and washer
  • Front axle
  • Axle spacers
  • Front axle nuts

Step 1: Install the Front Fender

Position the front fender under the lower front suspension mount.

Align the fender mounting hole with the hole in the suspension bracket.

The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 00:05.

Insert the mounting bolt from underneath.

Use the correct Allen wrench to tighten the bolt.

The video shows this at about 00:17.

Check that the fender sits in the center of the front wheel area before continuing.

Step 2: Reinstall the Front Headlight Bracket

Position the front headlight bracket against the mounting hole on the front fork plate.

The official q30 electric scooter video shows this at about 00:22.

Insert the mounting bolt through the bracket.

Hold the nut on the opposite side with a wrench and tighten the bolt securely.

The video shows this at about 00:34.

Make sure the headlight bracket is stable before moving to the front wheel.

Step 3: Insert the Front Axle

Take the front axle and begin inserting it from one side of the fork.

The official arwibon q30 scooter video shows this at about 00:46.

Install the corresponding axle spacer in its original position.

Do not leave the spacer out.

The axle spacers keep the front wheel positioned correctly between the fork legs.

Step 4: Position the Front Wheel

Lift the front wheel into the fork.

Make sure the brake disc is on the same side as the front brake caliper.

The official video shows the wheel being positioned at about 00:55.

Align the wheel hub with the axle.

Push the axle through the wheel.

Step 5: Install the Opposite-Side Spacer

Before the axle passes completely through the second side of the fork, install the remaining spacer or washer in its original position.

Continue pushing the axle through until it reaches the opposite fork leg.

Check both sides before installing the axle nuts.

Both spacers should be in place.

Step 6: Tighten the Front Axle Nuts

Install the front axle nuts.

Use a wrench to tighten the axle hardware.

The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 01:21.

Support the wheel while tightening so it remains centered.

After tightening, hold the front wheel and check for side-to-side movement.

The wheel should not move on the axle.

Step 7: Reinstall the Front Brake Caliper

Move the front brake caliper back over the brake disc.

The official q30 scooter video shows this at about 01:32.

Guide the disc between the brake pads.

Align the two caliper mounting holes with the brake bracket.

Insert the two mounting bolts.

Step 8: Tighten the Brake Caliper Bolts

Use an Allen wrench to tighten the two caliper bolts.

The official arwibon q30 electric scooter video shows this at about 01:50.

Before fully tightening them, check that the disc sits correctly between the brake pads.

If the disc is touching one pad continuously, adjust the caliper position before the final tightening.

Step 9: Reconnect the Brake Cable

Route the front brake cable through the caliper guide and return spring.

The official video shows this at about 02:05.

Pull the cable to remove excess slack.

Hold it in position and tighten the brake cable fixing bolt.

Check that the spring sits correctly and returns when the brake lever is released.

Step 10: Spin the Front Wheel

Rotate the front wheel by hand.

The official arwibon q30 scooter video shows this test at about 02:19.

Check that:

  • the wheel rotates smoothly;
  • the tire does not rub against the front fender;
  • the brake disc does not have constant heavy contact with the pads;
  • there is no obvious abnormal noise.

If the wheel does not spin freely, check the axle spacers and brake caliper position again.

Step 11: Test the Front Brake

Squeeze the front brake lever.

The brake should engage normally.

Release the lever and spin the wheel again.

The wheel should be able to rotate after the brake is released.

If the brake continues to drag, recheck the caliper position and cable tension.

Step 12: Final Check

Before riding the arwibon q30 electric scooter, confirm that:

  • the front fender bolt is secure;
  • the headlight bracket is firmly mounted;
  • both axle spacers are installed;
  • the front axle nuts are tight;
  • the wheel has no side-to-side play;
  • the brake caliper bolts are secure;
  • the brake cable is fixed correctly;
  • the tire does not touch the fender;
  • the front brake works normally.

This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Front Fender Installation | Arwibon Q30” and covers the front fender and front wheel reassembly process shown for the arwibon q30 scooter.
