How to Install the Main Cable Harness on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers installation of the Arwibon Q30 main cable harness, including routing the harness through the stem, connecting the four controller-side plugs inside the deck, connecting the waterproof handlebar plugs, and reinstalling the spiral cable protection.
Tools and Parts Needed
Prepare:
- New Arwibon Q30 main cable harness
- Brake inner cable or similar guide wire
- Masking tape or electrical tape
- Black spiral cable wrap
- Scissors or cable cutters
- Protective gloves
Part 1: Route the Main Cable Through the Stem
Step 1: Attach the Main Cable to the Guide Wire
Take a thin steel guide wire and place it alongside the end of the main cable harness.

Use tape to wrap the connector and guide wire together.

Keep the taped section narrow and smooth so it can pass through the stem without catching.
Step 2: Feed the Guide Wire Into the Stem

Push it downward through the inside of the stem.
Continue until the guide wire comes out through the lower opening.

Step 3: Pull the Main Harness Through
Pull the guide wire from the lower end of the stem.
The main harness should follow through the stem.

Once the connector is completely out, remove the tape and separate the guide wire.
Do not pull hard if the connector catches inside the stem. Push it back slightly and change the angle before continuing.
Step 4: Route the Harness Into the Deck
Feed the lower end of the main harness through the cable opening near the folding base.

Continue until the connector group reaches the controller compartment inside the deck.
Keep the harness away from sharp frame edges while routing it.
Part 2: Connect the Four Controller-Side Plugs

The exact electrical function of every pin is not established by the supplied video, so match the connectors by shape, pin count, wire arrangement, and original harness position rather than relying only on wire color.
Step 5: Connect Plug 1
Locate the large white/multicolor connector.

Align the locking shape and push the two housings together until fully seated.
Do not pull on the wires to make the connection.
Step 6: Connect Plug 2
Locate the small black multi-pin connector.

Part 5: Organize the Handlebar Wiring

Arrange them so no connector is under sharp bending or pulling force.
Step 14: Install the Cable Cover
Fit the black protective sleeve around the upper cable group.

Position the connector group neatly before continuing with the spiral wrap.
Part 6: Reinstall the Spiral Cable Wrap
Step 15: Start the Spiral Wrap at the Upper Stem
Take the black spiral cable protector.
Begin wrapping it around the cable bundle from the upper stem area.

Continue downward around the main wiring.
Keep the wrap snug enough to organize the harness but not so tight that the wires cannot move with steering.
Step 16: Keep the Brake Cables in the Correct Path

Keep the front and rear brake cables following their normal path along the stem and suspension area.
Do not trap a brake cable inside a tight electrical cable bundle.
The cables need a smooth bend rather than a sharp kink.
Step 17: Continue the Spiral Wrap Toward the Folding Base
Continue wrapping the cable bundle down the stem.

Work toward the cable opening near the folding base.
Do not cover the folding mechanism in a way that prevents normal movement.
Step 18: Trim the Excess Spiral Wrap
Once the cable bundle is covered to the correct length, trim the extra spiral wrap.

Cut the wrap cleanly and leave no sharp plastic edge against the wiring.
Check the Wiring Before Closing the Scooter
Turn the handlebar fully left and fully right.
Watch the main harness, brake cables, and front light wiring.
Nothing should become tight at either steering limit.
Then operate the folding mechanism carefully and check the lower cable area again.
The wiring should not:
- pinch between folding parts;
- rub against a sharp metal edge;
- pull on a waterproof connector;
- contact the suspension or tire;
- become stretched when the handlebar turns.
Important Notes
Match Waterproof Connectors Before Pushing Them Together
The 7-pin, 6-pin, and 3-pin waterproof connectors use small internal contacts.
Align the connector key or arrow marks before pushing them together.
If resistance feels abnormal, stop and check the orientation.
Do not force the plug because a bent pin can cause an intermittent electrical fault later.
Check All Four Deck Connectors
The four lower harness connectors should all be fully seated.
A connector that looks connected but is only partially inserted can cause intermittent display, throttle, light, or control problems.
Leave Enough Steering Slack

Keep Brake Cables Free

After installation, confirm that:
- the main harness passes completely through the stem;
- the lower harness reaches the controller compartment without being stretched;
- all four controller-side plugs are connected;
- the front light connection is restored;

- the 6-pin connector is fully seated;
- the remaining handlebar connectors match their original positions;

- the wiring remains loose enough through the full steering range;
