How to Install the Front Lights on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter

by LafreniereyoaDoris 03 Sep 2026 0 Comments

This tutorial covers installation and wiring of the front light assembly on an Arwibon Q30 scooter. The procedure includes mounting the left and right lights, routing the wiring through the spiral protective sleeve, connecting the light and horn wiring inside the deck, and reconnecting the yellow XT60 main battery plug last.

Tools and Parts Needed

Prepare:

  • Arwibon Q30 dual front light assembly with mounting brackets
  • Two mounting bolts
  • Metal washers
  • Lock nuts
  • Allen key
  • Open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
  • Black spiral cable sleeve
  • Protective gloves

Keep the yellow XT60 battery connector disconnected while installing and connecting the front light wiring.

Step 1: Position the Left Front Light

Place the left front light bracket over the mounting hole on the left side of the crossbar above the front fork.

The official Arwibon Q30 video shows this at about 00:01.

Align the hole in the U-shaped metal bracket with the mounting hole in the crossbar.

Step 2: Install the Left Light Mounting Bolt

Place the washer onto the mounting bolt.

Insert the bolt downward through the light bracket and crossbar.

The official video shows this at about 00:04.

From underneath the crossbar, above the front wheel, install the lower washer and lock nut.

The video shows the lower hardware being fitted at about 00:07.

Start the nut by hand before tightening it.

Step 3: Tighten the Left Front Light

Hold the lower nut with an open-end wrench.

Use the Allen key on the mounting bolt from above.

The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows the fastener being tightened at about 00:19.

Tighten the mounting hardware securely while keeping the light bracket correctly positioned.

Step 4: Position the Right Front Light

Move to the right side of the front crossbar.

Align the right light bracket with its mounting hole.

The official video shows this at about 00:23.

Keep the light in approximately the same position as the left unit before installing the hardware.

Step 5: Install the Right-Side Hardware

Insert the mounting bolt through the right light bracket and crossbar.

Install the washer and nut underneath.

The official Arwibon Q30 video shows this beginning at about 00:27.

Hold the lower nut with the wrench and tighten the bolt from above.

The right-side mounting hardware is shown being secured at about 00:39.

Step 6: Set the Light Angles

Adjust the two light heads by hand.

The official video shows this at about 00:43.

Set both lights so they point forward with a slight downward angle rather than aiming directly upward.

Check that the left and right lights sit at similar angles before moving on to the wiring.

Step 7: Bring the Front Light Wiring Together

Gather the black wiring coming from both front lights.

The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows this at about 00:46.

Arrange the cables so they run cleanly toward the front stem.

Do not twist or sharply bend the wiring near the light housings.

Step 8: Wrap the Wiring With the Spiral Cable Sleeve

Take the black spiral protective sleeve.

The official video shows the light wiring being wrapped into the sleeve at about 00:50.

Rotate the sleeve around the wiring bundle rather than forcing the cables straight through it.

Continue working down the stem until the front light wiring is contained inside the protective wrap.

Step 9: Feed the Wiring Into the Deck Compartment

Route the end of the front light harness down toward the folding-base wiring opening.

The official Arwibon Q30 video shows the wiring entering the frame at about 01:09.

Feed the connector ends carefully into the deck compartment.

Do not pull the harness tightly around the folding mechanism.

Leave enough movement in the wiring for steering and folding operation.

Step 10: Locate the Matching Front Light Connectors

Inside the deck compartment, locate the matching connectors for the front light assembly.

The official video shows the connection area at about 01:13.

The supplied installation procedure shows a multi-wire connector together with additional branch connectors associated with the front light and horn wiring.

Match each plug by its connector shape and the arrangement shown in the original harness.

Step 11: Connect the Main Multi-Wire Plug

Locate the white multi-wire connector from the front light harness.

The official video shows this connection at about 01:15.

Align it with the corresponding connector in the scooter wiring.

Push the two halves together until they are fully seated.

Do not force the connector if the locating features are not aligned.

Step 12: Connect the Horn and Remaining Branch Plugs

Connect the remaining matching branch plugs.

The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows these connections beginning at about 01:23.

The supplied procedure includes the red-and-black horn wiring together with the other corresponding front-light branch connectors.

Continue until all plugs shown in the procedure are fully connected.

The video shows the connector group completed at about 01:35.

Hold the connector housings rather than pushing or pulling on individual wires.

Step 13: Check the Wiring Before Reconnecting the Battery

Before restoring power, inspect the front light harness.

Make sure:

  • all connectors are fully seated;
  • no terminals appear pushed out of their housings;
  • no cable is trapped against the frame;
  • the spiral sleeve is correctly positioned;
  • the wiring is not stretched around the steering or folding area.

Correct any wiring problem before connecting the battery.

Step 14: Reconnect the XT60 Main Battery Plug Last

Locate the yellow XT60 battery connector.

The official video shows it at about 01:39.

After all front light and horn wiring has been connected, align the XT60 plug correctly and push the two halves fully together.

The official Arwibon Q30 video shows the main power connection being made at about 01:44.

This is the final electrical connection in the supplied installation procedure.

Step 15: Arrange the Wiring Inside the Deck

Place the connected plugs and loose wiring into the available space around the battery and controller.

The official video shows the harness being organized at about 01:46.

Keep the wiring away from deck-cover screw holes and sharp edges.

Do not close the deck while a connector is sitting above the cover sealing surface.

Step 16: Test the Front Lights and Horn

Turn on the Arwibon Q30.

Operate the light control and check both front lights.

Then test the horn function associated with the connected front-light harness.

Check that:

  • the left light turns on;
  • the right light turns on;
  • both lights remain stable when the handlebar is moved;
  • the horn responds normally.

If one function does not work, switch the scooter off and recheck the corresponding connector before closing the deck.

Step 17: Check Steering and Cable Movement

Turn the handlebar fully left and fully right.

Watch the front light harness near the stem and folding mechanism.

The cable should move naturally without becoming tight.

Also check that the spiral sleeve does not pull against the light wiring when the steering reaches either side.

Step 18: Reinstall the Deck Cover

Once the electrical test is complete, place the deck cover back into position.

Check the wire routing one last time.

Make sure no connector or cable is trapped under the cover.

Reinstall and secure the deck-cover screws.

Final Check

Before riding the Arwibon Q30 scooter, confirm that:

  • both front lights are securely mounted;
  • the left and right light angles are correctly set;
  • all mounting nuts and washers are installed;
  • the light wiring is protected by the spiral sleeve;
  • the front light and horn connectors are fully connected;
  • the yellow XT60 battery plug was connected after the light wiring;
  • both lights operate normally;
  • the horn works;
  • the wiring has enough slack through the full steering range;
  • no cable is pinched under the deck cover.

This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Front Light Installation | Arwibon Q30” and covers the dual-light mounting, wire routing, connector installation, XT60 reconnection, and final functional check shown for the Arwibon Q30 scooter.
