How to Remove the Front Lights on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers removal of the front light assembly on an Arwibon Q30 scooter. The procedure includes disconnecting the main battery power, unplugging the front light wiring, removing the light cable from the spiral protective sleeve, and removing the left and right light assemblies from their mounting brackets.
Tools Needed
Prepare:
- Allen key
- Open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
- Protective gloves
Before working on the front light wiring, open the deck compartment and disconnect the yellow XT60 main battery connector.
Step 1: Disconnect the XT60 Main Power Plug
Open the deck cover and locate the yellow XT60 battery connector.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows this at about 00:01.
Hold both connector housings and pull them apart.
Do not pull on the wires.
Keep the XT60 connector disconnected while working on the front light system.
Step 2: Disconnect the Front Light Connectors
Locate the front light wiring inside the controller compartment.
The official video shows the connectors being disconnected at about 00:06.
The supplied procedure shows two black quick-disconnect plugs associated with the front light assembly.
Separate both connectors by holding the plastic housings.
Do not pull directly on the wires.
Step 3: Locate the Spiral Cable Sleeve
Follow the front light cable toward the front of the scooter.
The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows the black spiral protective sleeve at about 00:20.
The light cable runs together with the other front wiring inside this sleeve.
Step 4: Remove the Light Cable From the Spiral Sleeve
Open the spiral sleeve by rotating it away from the wiring bundle.
The official video shows this process at about 00:28.
Work gradually along the harness until the front light cable is separated from the sleeve.
Do not pull the cable straight through a closed section of the spiral wrap.
Step 5: Move to the Left Front Light
Locate the left light and its mounting bracket above the front fender.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows this area at about 00:43.
Check the bolt, washer, and nut arrangement before removing anything.
Step 6: Remove the Left Light Mounting Bolt
Hold the nut from underneath with an open-end wrench.
Use the Allen key on the bolt from above.
The official video shows the left-side fastener being loosened at about 00:48.
Remove the bolt, washer, and nut.
Keep the hardware together.
Step 7: Remove the Left Light Assembly
Once the mounting hardware is removed, lift the left light away from the bracket.
The official video shows this at about 00:52.
Remove the U-shaped metal mounting bracket with the light if it comes away as part of the assembly shown in the procedure.
Do not pull hard on the cable.
Step 8: Remove the Right Light Mounting Bolt
Move to the right front light.
The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows the right-side bolt being loosened at about 00:54.
Hold the nut from underneath and loosen the mounting bolt from above.
Step 9: Remove the Right-Side Hardware
Continue removing the bolt.
The official video shows the bolt, washer, and nut being taken out at about 01:03.
Keep this hardware together with the right-side mounting parts.
Step 10: Remove the Right Light and Wiring
Lift the right light away from its mounting position.
The official video shows the light and remaining cable being removed at about 01:06.
Guide the disconnected wiring out of the scooter carefully.
The complete front light assembly should now be free from the scooter.
Step 11: Check the Removed Wiring
Before installing a replacement front light, inspect:
- both black connectors;
- cable insulation;
- the light mounting brackets;
- mounting bolts and washers;
- the U-shaped brackets;
- the wiring where it passed through the spiral sleeve.
Do not reuse a connector or cable section if the insulation is visibly damaged.
Final Check
After removal, confirm that:
- the yellow XT60 battery connector remains disconnected;
- both front light connectors are unplugged;
- the light cable is fully removed from the spiral sleeve;
- both left and right light assemblies are removed;
- all mounting bolts, washers, and nuts are accounted for;
- no wire remains trapped around the front fork or fender.
This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Front Light Removal | Arwibon Q30” and covers the battery disconnection, front light wiring, cable sleeve removal, and left/right light removal shown for the Arwibon Q30 scooter.
