How to Install the Main Display on an Arwibon Q06Pro Electric Scooter
This guide covers installation of the central color display used on the Arwibon Q06pro, including cable routing through the handlebar bracket, mounting the screen, reconnecting the two 3-pin plugs, protecting the connectors, and checking cable movement before riding.
Tools and Parts Needed
- New Arwibon Q06Pro central color display
- 3 mm or 4 mm Allen wrench
- Electrical tape
- Heat-shrink or protective cable sleeve
- Protective gloves
Step 1: Route the Display Cable Through the Center of the Bracket
Take the new display and straighten the main cable coming from the rear of the unit.
Feed the display cable through the center opening in the metal handlebar bracket.
Do not route the cable around the outside of the bracket.
Guide the cable downward toward the front stem while keeping it clear of the hydraulic brake hoses and the other handlebar wiring.
The cable should pass through the bracket without being pinched against a metal edge.
Step 2: Position the Display on the Mounting Bracket
Place the back of the display against the metal mounting bracket.
Align the two mounting holes.
Insert the left and right Allen bolts by hand first.
Before tightening them fully, set the screen at a comfortable viewing angle.
Hold the display in position and tighten the two bolts progressively.
Check the screen by hand after tightening. It should remain firmly mounted without rocking on the bracket.
No factory torque figure is provided in this procedure, so do not substitute an estimated torque value.
Step 3: Identify the First 3-Pin Connector
Find the first black 3-pin connector from the display harness.
In the official Q06Pro procedure, this connector uses the red, white, and black wire group.
Locate the corresponding connector on the scooter harness.
Check the connector shape and locking-tab orientation before joining them.
Step 4: Connect the Red/White/Black 3-Pin Plug
Align the plastic guide and locking tab.
Push the two connector housings straight together until the latch engages.
Do not force the plug if it does not enter normally.
Pull it apart, check the alignment again, and reconnect it.
The connector should be fully seated with no unusual gap between the housings.
Step 5: Connect the Blue/Green/Yellow 3-Pin Plug
Locate the second black 3-pin connector from the display.
The procedure identifies this connector by the blue, green, and yellow wire group.
Match it to the corresponding scooter-side plug.
Align the guide and locking tab, then push the connector straight together until it locks.
Again, hold the plastic connector housings rather than pushing or pulling on the wires themselves.
Step 6: Check Both Connections Before Wrapping Them
Before covering the plugs, inspect both connections.
Make sure:
- Both locking tabs are engaged
- No connector is partly separated
- No terminal has been pushed backward
- No wire is under tension
- The two plugs match the same positions shown in the original Q06Pro wiring
Do not change pin positions based only on wire color.
Step 7: Wrap the Connector Area With Electrical Tape
Bring the two connected plugs together neatly.
Wrap the connector area with electrical tape as shown in the original procedure.
Cover the joint area so the plugs are protected from direct water splash and movement inside the front harness.
The tape should support the connector protection, but it should not be treated as a guarantee that the joint is completely waterproof.
Do not wrap the wires so tightly that the insulation is crushed or the harness cannot flex.
Step 8: Fit the Protective Sleeve
Slide the heat-shrink or protective sleeve over the two connected plugs.
Arrange the connectors so they sit inside the sleeve without sharp bends in the wires.
Secure the sleeve and surrounding harness as shown in the procedure.
If the supplied part is only a protective sleeve rather than true heat-shrink tubing, do not apply heat unless the component is specifically designed for it.
Step 9: Secure the Harness Along the Stem
Bring the display wiring together with the existing front harness.
Wrap or secure the cables so they remain organized along the stem.
Do not pull the harness tight.
Leave enough movement for the handlebar to rotate freely in both directions.
The display cable should not rub sharply against the bracket, brake hose fittings, or the folding mechanism.
Step 10: Check Full Steering Movement
Turn the handlebars fully to the left.
Watch the display cable and the protected connector section.
Nothing should become tight or pull against the display.
Then turn the handlebars fully to the right and check again.
The harness should move naturally without tugging on either 3-pin connector.
If the cable becomes tight at either steering limit, open the wrapping and give the harness more slack before continuing.
Step 11: Power On the Scooter
Turn the scooter on and check the new display.
Confirm that the screen powers up normally.
Check that the display remains stable while the handlebars are moved from side to side.
If the screen flickers, turns off, or loses communication when the bars are turned, switch the scooter off and inspect the two 3-pin connectors and cable routing again.
Step 12: Perform the Final Mechanical Check
After the electrical test, check the display mount one more time.
Confirm that:
- Both display mounting bolts are secure
- The screen angle is correct
- The main cable passes through the center of the bracket
- The brake hoses are not trapped against the display cable
- Both 3-pin connectors remain fully seated
- The protective wrapping is secure
- There is enough steering slack on both sides
The display should remain fixed while the wiring moves freely with the handlebars.
