How to Remove the Front Fender on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial shows how to remove the front fender from an arwibon q30 scooter. The front wheel has to come off first, so the process includes removing the front brake caliper, moving the headlight out of the way, removing the front axle, and then taking out the fender mounting bolt.
Tools Needed
Prepare:
- Allen key set
- Open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
- Rubber mallet or suitable rod for pushing the front axle out
Step 1: Remove the Front Brake Caliper
Locate the front brake caliper next to the brake disc.
Use the correct Allen wrench to loosen and remove the caliper mounting bolts.
The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 00:05.
Once the bolts are removed, move the brake caliper away from the disc.
Do not let the brake cable or brake line carry the full weight of the caliper.
Keep the caliper clear of the wheel before continuing.
Step 2: Remove the Front Headlight
Locate the front headlight mounting bracket on the front suspension assembly.
Use an Allen tool on the bolt and a wrench on the nut at the opposite side.
The official q30 electric scooter video shows this at about 00:28.
Remove the mounting bolt and nut.
Move the headlight assembly aside so it does not interfere with the front wheel and axle removal.
Do not pull hard on the headlight wiring.
Step 3: Loosen the Front Axle Hardware
Use wrenches on both sides of the front wheel axle.
Loosen the axle nut and remove the axle hardware.
The official arwibon q30 scooter video shows this beginning at about 00:49.
Keep the nuts, washers, and spacers organized as they are removed.
Their original positions will matter when the front wheel is installed again.
Step 4: Push the Front Axle Out
Once the axle hardware is loose, begin pushing the front axle through the fork and wheel hub.
The official video shows this at about 01:09.
If the axle is tight, use a suitable rod or similar tool against the end of the axle and tap it carefully.
A rubber mallet can be used for light assistance.
Do not strike the axle threads directly with a hard metal hammer.
Continue until the axle can be pulled completely out.
Step 5: Remove the Front Wheel
Support the front wheel while the axle is being removed.
Once the axle is out, lower the wheel carefully from between the fork legs.
Remove the spacers or washers from both sides and keep them in order.
Take note of the brake disc side before setting the wheel aside.
This makes reinstallation easier later.
Step 6: Locate the Front Fender Mounting Bolt
With the front wheel removed, the front fender mounting point is accessible underneath the front suspension.
Locate the bolt holding the fender base to the lower suspension section.
The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 01:23.
Step 7: Remove the Front Fender Bolt
Insert the correct Allen wrench into the fender mounting bolt.
Turn it counterclockwise until the bolt is completely removed.
Keep the bolt with the other front fender hardware.
Once the bolt is out, the fender is no longer fixed to the suspension.
Step 8: Pull the Front Fender Out
Hold the front fender and slide it out from the mounting area.
The official arwibon video shows the fender being fully removed at about 02:03.
Pull it out carefully so the fender does not catch on the front suspension components.
The front fender is now completely removed from the arwibon q30 electric scooter.
Step 9: Keep the Front Wheel Hardware Organized
Before starting any repair or replacement work, keep the removed parts together:
- front axle;
- axle nuts;
- washers;
- left and right spacers;
- brake caliper bolts;
- headlight mounting bolt and nut;
- front fender mounting bolt.
If you plan to install a replacement front fender, keeping the axle spacers in their original order will save time during reassembly.
This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Front Fender Removal | Arwibon Q30” and covers the front brake caliper, headlight, front wheel, axle hardware, and front fender removal shown for the arwibon q30 scooter.
