How to Install the Seat on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter

by LafreniereyoaDoris 04 Sep 2026 0 Comments

This tutorial covers the complete seat installation process for an arwibon q30 scooter. The work includes assembling the saddle and seat post, fixing the folding seat base to the deck, locking the lower seat stem upright, inserting the upper seat post, and adjusting the final riding height.

Tools and Parts Needed

Prepare:

  • Socket wrench or offset socket wrench
  • Allen key set
  • Q30 seat kit

The seat kit shown in the supplied material includes:

  • wide spring saddle;
  • aluminum seat post;
  • saddle clamp hardware;
  • folding lower seat stem;
  • folding quick-release clamp;
  • upper height-adjustment clamp;
  • long saddle mounting bolt;
  • washers;
  • lock nuts;
  • positioning clamp pieces.

Step 1: Turn the Saddle Over

Place the saddle upside down so the two metal rails underneath are visible.

The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 00:00.

Position the seat-post clamp underneath the center of the saddle rails.

Step 2: Position the Saddle Clamp Hardware

Align the upper seat-post clamp with the two saddle rails.

The official q30 scooter video shows this at about 00:05.

Install the curved locating pieces and washers on both sides of the rails.

The video shows these parts being positioned at about 00:11.

Keep the hardware aligned while preparing the center bolt.

Step 3: Insert the Long Saddle Bolt

Pass the long horizontal bolt through the complete saddle clamp assembly.

The official arwibon q30 electric scooter video shows this at about 00:37.

Make sure the bolt passes through both sides correctly.

Install the lock nuts onto the ends by hand.

The video shows this at about 00:43.

Do not fully tighten them yet.

Step 4: Adjust the Saddle Angle

Turn the saddle into its normal position and check its angle.

Adjust the clamp so the saddle sits roughly level.

You can also make a small forward or backward adjustment before tightening the nuts.

Once the position looks correct, keep the clamp hardware aligned.

Step 5: Tighten the Saddle Clamp Nuts

Use the socket wrench on the saddle mounting nuts.

The official arwibon q30 video shows the final tightening at about 00:58.

Work between both sides instead of tightening only one side completely first.

After tightening, hold the saddle and try to tilt it forward and backward.

It should stay in position.

Step 6: Locate the Seat Mounting Area on the Deck

Move to the rear section of the scooter deck.

The official video shows the seat mounting area at about 01:16.

Locate the four screws used by the seat base mounting position.

Step 7: Remove the Four Deck Screws

Use the Allen wrench to remove the four screws.

The official q30 scooter video shows this at about 01:28.

Keep the screws together.

The four exposed holes will be used to mount the folding seat base.

Step 8: Position the Folding Seat Base

Place the folding seat base over the four mounting holes on the deck.

The official arwibon q30 electric scooter video shows the base being positioned at about 02:04.

Check that all four holes line up before installing the screws.

Do not force the base into position if the holes are not aligned.

Step 9: Start the Four Base Screws

Insert the four Allen screws through the seat base and into the deck mounting points.

The official video shows this at about 02:11.

Start all four screws by hand first.

This keeps the base from shifting while the screws are being tightened.

Step 10: Tighten the Seat Base

Use the Allen wrench to tighten the four mounting screws.

The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 02:44.

Tighten them gradually in a cross pattern.

Do not fully tighten one corner while the other three remain loose.

Once finished, hold the lower seat stem and check whether the base moves on the deck.

It should remain fixed.

Step 11: Raise the Folding Seat Stem

Lift the lower folding seat stem into the upright position.

The official q30 scooter video shows this at about 03:01.

Bring the stem fully upright before engaging the locking hardware.

Step 12: Engage the Locking Pin

Push the spring-loaded locking pin into its locking position.

The official video shows this at about 03:07.

Check that the pin is fully engaged before closing the folding clamp.

The lower seat stem should not be left partially locked.

Step 13: Close the Folding Quick-Release Clamp

Push the lower quick-release lever into the locked position.

The official arwibon q30 electric scooter video shows this at about 03:22.

Once locked, move the lower stem by hand.

There should be no obvious movement at the folding joint.

Step 14: Open the Upper Seat-Post Clamp

Move to the quick-release clamp at the top of the lower seat stem.

Open the lever.

The official q30 scooter video shows this at about 03:29.

If necessary, loosen the opposite adjustment nut slightly so the seat post can slide in.

Step 15: Insert the Seat Post

Take the assembled saddle and upper seat post.

Slide the seat post into the lower folding stem.

The official video shows this at about 03:38.

Push it down smoothly.

Do not force the post if the upper clamp is still too tight.

Step 16: Set the Seat Height

Move the seat post up or down until the saddle reaches a comfortable riding height.

The official arwibon q30 video shows this at about 03:41.

Keep the saddle pointing straight forward while adjusting the height.

Do not raise the seat post beyond any minimum-insertion or maximum-height marking shown on the tube.

The supplied video material does not establish a specific 8–10 cm minimum insertion distance, so use the marked safety limit on the actual seat post rather than an estimated value.

Step 17: Lock the Upper Quick-Release Clamp

Close the upper quick-release lever.

The official q30 electric scooter video shows this at about 03:49.

The lever should close firmly.

If the seat post can still rotate or slide, open the lever and tighten the adjustment nut slightly before closing it again.

If the lever cannot close normally, reduce the clamp tension slightly.

Step 18: Check the Saddle and Seat Post

Hold the saddle with both hands.

Try to move it:

  • forward and backward;
  • side to side;
  • up and down.

Check the saddle clamp, upper seat-post clamp, folding joint, and deck base separately.

None of these areas should move independently.

Step 19: Final Check Before Riding

Before riding the arwibon q30 scooter, confirm that:

  • both saddle clamp nuts are secure;
  • the saddle does not tilt on the rails;
  • all four seat-base screws are tight;
  • the folding stem is fully upright;
  • the spring locking pin is engaged;
  • the lower quick-release clamp is closed;
  • the upper seat-post clamp is closed;
  • the seat post does not rotate or slide;
  • the seat post remains within the marked safety limit.

Do not ride the q30 electric scooter if the folding joint, seat post, or saddle still moves after adjustment.

This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Seat Installation | Arwibon Q30” and covers the saddle assembly, deck-mounted folding base, seat stem, and height adjustment shown for the arwibon q30 electric scooter.
