How to Install the Front Wheel on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers front wheel installation on an arwibon q30 scooter. The process includes positioning the wheel between the fork legs, reinstalling the axle and spacers, tightening the axle hardware, mounting the front brake caliper, and checking wheel rotation and braking before riding.
Tools and Parts Needed
Prepare:
- Open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
- Allen key
- Front wheel axle
- Left and right axle spacers
- Washers and axle nut
- Front brake caliper and mounting bolts
- Stable stand or support block
Support the scooter securely so the front wheel remains off the ground during installation.
Step 1: Position the Front Wheel Between the Forks
Lift the front wheel into the front fork.
Make sure the brake disc is on the same side as the brake caliper mounting bracket.

Keep the wheel centered while preparing the axle.
Step 2: Insert the Front Axle and First Spacer
Insert the long front axle through one side of the fork.

Push the axle through the spacer and into the wheel hub.
Step 3: Push the Axle Through the Wheel Hub

Keep the wheel aligned with the fork holes while the axle passes through.
If the axle does not slide through normally, move the wheel slightly until the holes line up instead of forcing the axle.
Step 4: Install the Opposite-Side Spacer
Before the axle reaches the opposite fork leg, place the second metal spacer in its original position.

Continue pushing the axle through the spacer and toward the outside of the fork.
Both spacers need to remain between the wheel hub and fork in their correct positions.
Step 5: Push the Axle Fully Into Position
Continue inserting the axle until it passes completely through the opposite fork mounting hole.

Check both sides before installing the outer hardware.
Neither spacer should be tilted or trapped out of position.
Step 6: Install the Washer and Axle Nut
Install the outer washer onto the axle.
Thread the axle nut on by hand.

Start the nut carefully so it threads onto the axle normally.
Do not force the nut if it starts at an angle.
Step 7: Tighten the Front Axle
Use an open-end wrench or adjustable wrench to tighten the axle nut.

If the opposite side of the axle turns during tightening, hold it with a second wrench as needed.
After tightening, hold the wheel and try to move it from side to side.
There should be no noticeable play between the wheel and fork.
Step 8: Check the Wheel Position
Look at the front wheel from directly in front of the scooter.
The wheel should sit normally between the two fork legs.
Check that:
- both axle spacers remain in position;
- the brake disc is on the correct side;
- the wheel is not pushed noticeably toward one fork leg;
- the axle hardware is seated correctly.
Correct any spacer or axle problem before installing the brake caliper.
Step 9: Position the Front Brake Caliper
Take the front brake caliper and move it toward the brake disc.

Carefully guide the brake disc into the slot between the brake pads.
Do not force the disc against either pad.
Step 10: Align the Caliper Mounting Holes
Position the caliper against its mounting bracket on the front fork.

Insert both Allen bolts by hand first.
This confirms that the holes are aligned correctly before tightening.
Step 11: Tighten the Brake Caliper Bolts
Use the Allen wrench to tighten the two caliper mounting bolts.

Work between the two bolts rather than fully tightening one while the other remains loose.
Before the final tightening, check that the brake disc passes through the caliper correctly.
Step 12: Spin the Front Wheel
Rotate the front wheel by hand.

The wheel should rotate smoothly without obvious binding.
Listen for continuous scraping from the brake disc.
If the disc rubs heavily against one pad, the brake caliper may need to be repositioned.
Step 13: Test the Front Brake
Squeeze the front brake lever.
The brake should stop the wheel normally.
Release the lever and rotate the wheel again.
Check that the brake releases and the wheel can turn again.
Do not ride the q30 electric scooter if the brake does not engage or remains locked after the lever is released.
Step 14: Final Check

- both front wheel spacers are installed;
- the axle passes completely through both fork legs;
