How to Install the Battery on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers battery installation on an arwibon q30 scooter. The process includes fixing the battery inside the deck compartment, arranging the wiring, reinstalling the controller, reconnecting the charging connector, and connecting the yellow XT60 main power plug last.
Keep the scooter powered off while working inside the battery compartment.
Tools and Parts Needed
Prepare:
- Replacement Arwibon Q30 battery
- Strong double-sided tape or foam double-sided tape
- Allen key
- Protective gloves
Step 1: Clean the Battery Compartment
Before placing the battery into the scooter, remove dust, loose hardware, and other debris from the deck compartment.

Check that nothing underneath the battery could press into or damage the battery casing.
Step 2: Apply Double-Sided Tape to the Battery
Apply strong double-sided tape to the bottom of the battery pack.

The tape keeps the battery from sliding around inside the deck during normal scooter movement.
Make sure the mounting surface is clean before applying it.
Step 3: Place the Battery Into the Deck

Step 6: Locate the Charging Connector

Step 7: Connect the Charging Plug
Align the two white connector halves.
Push them together until they are fully seated.

Hold the plastic connector housings rather than pushing or pulling directly on the wires.
If the connector has a locking tab, make sure it is engaged.
Step 8: Locate the XT60 Main Power Connector
Find the yellow XT60 connector from the battery and the matching yellow controller power connector.

Keep this connection disconnected until the other wiring has already been positioned and checked.
Step 9: Connect the XT60 Main Power Plug Last
Align the yellow XT60 connector correctly.
Push the two halves fully together.

This should be the last main electrical connection made during the battery installation.
Do not force the connector if the two halves are not aligned correctly.
Step 10: Organize the Wiring Inside the Deck
Place the connectors and excess wiring into the available spaces around the battery and controller.

Do not place connectors directly underneath the deck screw locations.
Keep the wiring away from sharp edges.
Step 11: Check the Deck Cover Area
Before installing the deck cover, look around the entire edge of the compartment.

Make sure no wire is sticking upward where the cover could crush or pinch it.
Also check that the controller and battery remain in their intended positions.
Step 12: Test the Battery Installation
Turn on the arwibon q30 scooter.
Check that the main display powers up.
Then check the normal scooter functions shown by the connected system, such as throttle response and lighting.
For the first motor test, keep the drive wheel off the ground.
If the scooter does not power on normally, turn it off and recheck the XT60 and charging connections before closing the deck.

Once the electrical test is complete, place the deck cover back into position.
