How to Install the Seat on an Arwibon GT08 Scooter

by LafreniereyoaDoris 26 Aug 2026 0 Comments

The seat kit for the arwibon gt08 scooter mounts directly to the rear section of the deck. Before the seat can be fixed to the scooter, the saddle, seat post, and base bracket need to be assembled first.

The official Arwibon GT08 tutorial also shows an important detail during the final installation: the original deck screws are not reused to secure the seat base. The longer screws supplied with the seat kit are used instead.

Step 1: Attach the Saddle to the Seat Post

Turn the saddle upside down so you can reach the mounting rail underneath.

Position the upper mounting section of the seat post between the saddle rails.

Pass the locking shaft through the mounting area.

The official arwibon gt08 video shows this starting at about 00:00.

Install the toothed curved clamps on both sides of the saddle mount, followed by the outside washers and fastening hardware.

The toothed surfaces need to sit correctly against each other because they hold the saddle angle once the hardware is tightened.

Step 2: Set the Saddle Angle and Tighten It

Before fully tightening the saddle mount, position the seat at the angle you want.

Hold the nut with an open-end wrench while tightening the opposite side with the appropriate tool.

The official tutorial shows the saddle hardware being tightened at about 00:29.

Tighten both sides securely so the saddle cannot tilt forward or backward when weight is placed on it.

Do not tighten one side completely while leaving the other loose. Bring both sides in gradually and keep the saddle centered on the post.

Step 3: Assemble the Seat Base Bracket

Take the two side support plates from the seat kit.

Position them opposite each other and install the center sleeve and short connecting hardware between them.

The official gt08 scooter video begins this part at about 00:43.

At this stage, do not fully tighten every bolt.

Leave enough movement in the bracket so the seat post assembly can still fit between the two side plates.

The bracket should remain symmetrical rather than leaning toward one side.

Step 4: Fit the Seat Post Into the Base Bracket

Place the lower section of the seat post between the two support plates.

Align it with the curved mounting area in the bracket.

The seat post is positioned between the plates at about 01:13 in the official arwibon gt08 tutorial.

Once the holes line up, insert the four long mounting bolts through the upper section of the bracket.

Install the matching lock nuts on the opposite side.

Use an Allen wrench on the bolt head and an open-end wrench on the nut.

The four upper bolts begin going into place at about 01:19.

Step 5: Tighten the Seat Bracket

After all the main bolts are installed, tighten them gradually.

Work from one side to the other rather than fully tightening a single bolt first.

Then tighten the center connecting hardware that was left slightly loose during the earlier assembly.

The official arwibon gt08 electric scooter video shows the bracket being fully tightened at about 01:53.

When finished, hold the seat post and move it from side to side.

The bracket should feel solid and should not shift between the two support plates.

Step 6: Remove the Four Deck Screws

Move to the rear-middle section of the GT08 deck.

There are four existing screws in the mounting area, two on each side.

Remove all four with the correct Allen wrench.

This begins at about 02:20 in the official tutorial.

Keep these original screws separate from the seat-kit hardware.

They are removed to expose the seat mounting points, but they are not the screws shown being used for the final seat installation.

Step 7: Position the Seat Base on the Deck

Lift the assembled seat and place the base bracket over the four mounting holes on the deck.

Lower it into position and check that all four holes line up before inserting any bolts.

The bracket is positioned on the gt08 electric scooter at about 02:37.

If one hole is noticeably out of position, do not force a bolt through at an angle.

Reposition the base until the mounting holes are aligned.

Step 8: Install the Long Seat Mounting Screws

Use the long screws supplied with the seat kit for this part.

Insert each long screw from the top through the seat bracket and the deck mounting hole.

The official video shows the long screws being installed at about 02:41.

These screws are longer than the original deck screws because they need to pass through both the seat bracket and the deck mounting area.

Install all four before fully tightening any of them.

Step 9: Install the Lock Nuts

Fit the supplied lock nuts onto the lower ends of the four mounting screws.

The video shows this beginning at about 02:48.

The lock nuts have to be held while the bolts are tightened. Otherwise, the nut may rotate together with the screw.

By about 03:00 in the official arwibon scooter gt08 tutorial, all four mounting points are in place.

Step 10: Tighten the Seat Base to the Deck

Hold each lock nut with an open-end wrench.

Use an Allen wrench from above to tighten the corresponding long screw.

Work across the four mounting points gradually.

Do not fully tighten one corner while the other three are still loose.

Tightening the mounting points in stages keeps the seat base sitting evenly on the deck.

The official GT08 tutorial shows the final tightening at about 03:13.

Step 11: Check the Seat Before Riding

Once all four mounting points are tight, hold the seat and push it forward, backward, and from side to side.

Check both the saddle mount and the base bracket.

Make sure:

  • the saddle does not rotate on the upper mount;
  • the seat post is secure between the side brackets;
  • the center bracket hardware is tight;
  • all four long mounting screws are fully seated;
  • the lock nuts are holding correctly;
  • the seat base does not move on the deck.

If any part of the seat shifts, stop and check that section before riding the arwibon gt08 scooter.

This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “GT08 Scooter Seat Installation | Arwibon GT08” and covers the complete seat-kit assembly and deck installation used on the arwibon gt08 electric scooter.
