Arwibon GT08 Seat Installation Guide

(GT08 Complete Seat Installation Guide)

⚠️ Safety Notice

  • Make sure the scooter is powered off before installation.
  • Install the seat on a flat surface to prevent the scooter from moving.
  • The seat bracket supports the rider’s weight. Make sure all screws are fully tightened before riding.
  • Check the bracket and seat post again after the first few rides.

Tools Needed

  • Allen wrench set
  • Wrench or socket wrench
  • Screw threadlocker (recommended)

Step 1: Install the Seat Mounting Bracket

1. Prepare the mounting area

  1. Place the GT08 scooter on a stable surface.
  2. Clean the rear deck area where the seat bracket will be installed.
  3. Check the mounting holes on the deck and make sure there is no dirt or debris blocking the holes.

2. Position the seat bracket

  1. Take out the seat mounting bracket.
  2. Place the bracket on the rear part of the deck.
  3. Align all mounting holes with the holes on the scooter deck.
  4. Make sure the bracket sits flat against the deck surface.

3. Install the screws

  1. Insert the mounting screws through the bracket holes.
  2. Install the washers and nuts from the bottom side if included.
  3. Tighten the screws by hand first to keep the bracket in the correct position.

4. Fully tighten the bracket

  1. Use an Allen wrench to tighten the screws.

  2. Tighten the screws in a diagonal order:

    • Front left
    • Rear right
    • Front right
    • Rear left
  3. Check that the bracket does not move or shake after tightening.

Installation Tip:
Do not fully tighten one screw first. Tightening evenly helps the bracket sit flat and prevents loosening during riding.

Step 2: Assemble the Seat Cushion and Seat Post

1. Prepare the seat cushion

  1. Turn the seat cushion upside down.
  2. Locate the metal mounting rails underneath the seat.
  3. Prepare the seat clamp and fixing hardware.

2. Install the seat clamp

  1. Place the clamp onto the seat rail.
  2. Insert the seat post into the clamp position.
  3. Install the fixing screws and nuts.
  4. Tighten them slightly first so the seat position can still be adjusted.

3. Adjust seat position

Before fully tightening:

  • Slide the seat forward or backward to find a comfortable riding position.
  • Adjust the seat angle according to your preference.
  • Keep the seat level or slightly tilted upward at the front.

After adjustment, tighten all clamp screws firmly.

Step 3: Install the Seat Assembly onto the Scooter

1. Insert the seat post

  1. Insert the assembled seat post into the mounting bracket installed on the deck.
  2. Push the seat post down until it reaches the correct height.

2. Adjust seat height

Adjust the seat height according to your riding position:

  • Your feet should be able to reach the deck comfortably.
  • Your knees should remain slightly bent when sitting.
  • The seat should not affect handlebar control.

3. Lock the seat post

  1. Close the quick-release clamp on the mounting bracket.

  2. If the clamp is too loose:

    • Open the clamp.
    • Adjust the tightening nut slightly.
    • Close the clamp again.
  3. Confirm that the seat post cannot rotate or slide down.

Step 4: Final Tightening Check

Before riding, check all connection points:

Seat bracket

  • Confirm the deck mounting screws are tight.
  • Make sure the bracket does not move.

Seat clamp

  • Check the seat cushion does not rotate.
  • Confirm the clamp screws are fully tightened.

Seat post

  • Make sure the quick-release clamp is locked.
  • Check that the seat height remains stable.

Final Test

  1. Sit on the seat and slowly apply body weight.
  2. Check whether the seat remains stable.
  3. Move the handlebar left and right to confirm the seat does not interfere with steering.
  4. Take a short test ride at low speed.
  5. Recheck the screws after the first ride.

After completing all checks, the Arwibon GT08 seat installation is finished. The scooter is now ready for a more comfortable seated riding experience.
