How to Remove the Rear Rocker Arm Side Cover on an Arwibon GT08 Scooter
The rear rocker arm side cover on the arwibon gt08 scooter hides the hardware around the rear swingarm. Before you can reach the rear axle area, suspension connection point, or some of the fasteners around the rear wheel, this cover has to come off first.
The screws are not visible from the outside. They are hidden behind the black GT08 logo plate on the side of the rocker arm.
Step 1: Remove the GT08 Logo Plate
Start at the black decorative plate marked “GT08” on the outside of the rear rocker arm.
Use a small flat screwdriver or another thin tool and carefully work from the edge of the plate.
Lift the plate slowly instead of forcing it from one point.
The official video shows the logo plate being removed from 00:00 to about 00:11.
Once the plate is off, the hidden mounting screws underneath become visible.
Step 2: Remove the Two Hidden Screws
Behind the GT08 logo plate, there are two recessed Allen screws.
Use the correct Allen key and turn both screws counterclockwise.
Remove the screws one at a time and keep them together.
This part of the arwibon gt08 tutorial begins at about 00:12, with the screws being removed through about 00:29.
Do not try to pull the red side cover off before these screws are removed.
Step 3: Pull Off the Red Rocker Arm Cover
After both screws are out, hold the red protective cover and pull it outward from the rocker arm.
The cover should come away from the black metal swingarm underneath.
The official gt08 electric scooter video shows the cover being removed at about 00:30.
Do not twist the cover heavily if it does not move right away. Check that both screws have been completely removed first.
Step 4: Check the Exposed Rear Swingarm Area
Once the cover is off, the metal rear rocker arm is visible.
This gives access to the area around:
- the rear axle hardware;
- the lower suspension connection point;
- the rear motor wheel area.
The official video shows the exposed rocker arm structure at about 00:31.
At this point, you can continue with the next repair if the job involves the rear wheel, motor wiring, suspension hardware, or other parts behind the cover.
Step 5: Keep the Cover Hardware Together
Set the GT08 logo plate, the two Allen screws, and the red side cover aside together.
Do not mix these screws with hardware from the rear axle or suspension if you continue disassembling the arwibon gt08 scooter.
When reinstalling the cover later, the red protective piece goes back on first, followed by the two hidden screws and then the outer GT08 logo plate.
This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video and covers removal of the rear rocker arm side cover on the arwibon gt08 electric scooter.
