How to Adjust the Handlebar Height on an Arwibon GT08 Scooter
If the telescopic stem on your arwibon gt08 scooter does not hold its height properly, the quick-release clamp may need to be adjusted and reassembled. The official Arwibon GT08 tutorial shows how to correct the clamp opening, reinstall the locking bolt and related hardware, then set the stem height and tighten the quick-release lever.
This adjustment is useful when the stem starts to slide, the clamp feels too loose, or the locking parts no longer sit together correctly.
Step 1: Adjust the Clamp Opening
Before installing the locking bolt, use needle-nose pliers to make a small correction to the opening of the aluminum clamp.
The official arwibon gt08 video shows this at about 00:04.
Work carefully and make only a slight adjustment. The goal is to bring the two sides of the clamp into better alignment so the clamp fits the outer stem tube evenly.
Check the opening again at about 00:10 in the video. The clamp should sit naturally around the tube without being forced out of shape.
Do not squeeze the clamp heavily with the pliers. This step is only for a minor correction.
Step 2: Install the Quick-Release Bolt
Insert the long quick-release locking bolt through the hole on one side of the clamp.
The official gt08 electric scooter video shows the bolt being installed at about 00:20.
Guide the bolt straight through the clamp rather than forcing it at an angle.
If the holes do not line up easily, check the clamp position again before pushing the bolt through.
Step 3: Install the Nut and Related Hardware
Once the bolt is through the clamp, install the sleeve nut on the opposite side.
The video also shows the related cable holder or accessory being fitted onto the bolt position during this step.

Keep the hardware in the same order shown in the official arwibon gt08 tutorial. The supplied video does not provide a separate parts diagram, so do not change the order of the washers, sleeve, or cable hardware based on guesswork.
Step 4: Set the Handlebar Height
Loosen the clamp enough for the inner stem tube to move.
Slide the stem up or down until the handlebar reaches the height you want.
The height adjustment is shown at about 00:27.
Keep the stem straight while making the adjustment. Do not twist it sideways just to make it easier to move.
Once the height is set, hold the stem in position.
Step 5: Preload the Clamp
Turn the adjustment nut clockwise by hand.
This increases the tension in the quick-release clamp.

Make the adjustment gradually.
If the nut is too loose, the lever may close without enough clamping force and the stem can still slide.
If it is too tight, the quick-release lever may be difficult to close.
The correct setting is the point where the lever has noticeable resistance but can still be pressed fully into the locked position by hand.
Step 6: Close the Quick-Release Lever
Push the quick-release lever down until it is fully closed.
The official video shows this at about 00:36.
Use your palm to press the lever into the locked position.
Do not leave the lever partly open. The clamp only holds the stem correctly when the lever is fully seated.
Step 7: Check the Stem
After the lever is closed, hold the handlebar and test the inner stem tube.
Try to move it up and down.
Then check for side-to-side or rotational movement.

The stem should stay at the selected height without sliding.
If it still moves, open the lever and add a small amount of preload at the adjustment nut, then close the lever and test again.
Step 8: Check the Cable Routing
Look at the cables around the quick-release clamp and stem.
Make sure the cable holder and related hardware are sitting correctly and that the wires are not trapped between the clamp and the stem tube.
The cables should move naturally when the handlebar is turned.
If a wire is being pulled, pinched, or sharply bent, correct the routing before riding the gt08 scooter.
Step 9: Final Check Before Riding
Before using the electric scooter gt08 again, check the complete locking area.
Make sure:
- the clamp sits evenly around the outer stem tube;
- the long locking bolt is installed correctly;
- the sleeve nut and related hardware are in place;
- the stem height does not change when you pull on the handlebar;
- the quick-release lever is fully closed;
- the stem does not rotate inside the outer tube;
- the cables are not pinched around the clamp.
The official video does not provide a torque value for the quick-release hardware, so do not use an invented tightening specification. Adjust the clamp gradually and rely on the locking test shown in the tutorial.
If the stem still slips after the clamp opening, bolt position, preload and lever tension have all been adjusted correctly, stop riding and inspect the locking parts before tightening them further.
