Arwibon Q06Pro Battery Removal and Installation Guide

If the battery in your Arwibon Q06pro has lost capacity, no longer charges or discharges normally, or the internal BMS is suspected of causing intermittent shutdowns, the 60V battery pack can be removed from the deck and replaced.

This guide covers the full Q06Pro battery procedure, including opening the illuminated deck, disconnecting the yellow XT60 battery lead, removing the charging connectors, lifting out the battery, applying anti-vibration tape, reinstalling the dual controllers, reconnecting the wiring, and closing the acrylic deck cover.

Tools and Materials Needed

  • 4 mm or 5 mm Allen wrench
  • Thin 8 mm or 10 mm open-end wrench
  • Thick double-sided tape
  • Replacement 60V battery pack for the Arwibon Q06pro
  • Insulated protective gloves

Open the Deck

Step 1: Remove the Front and Rear Deck Bolts

Start with the two front fasteners near the folding-stem base.

Remove the two rear fasteners near the rear handle or tail section.

Keep the hardware organized so it can be returned to the same positions during reassembly.

Step 2: Remove the Eight Side Through-Bolts

There are four side fasteners on the left and four on the right.

Insert the thin open-end wrench into the side gap and hold the locknut underneath.

Use the Allen wrench from above to loosen the bolt.

Do not try to remove these fasteners from the top only. If the lower nut is not held, the entire fastener may rotate.

Remove all eight side through-bolts.

Together with the four end bolts, the deck cover uses 12 fastener sets.

Disconnect the Deck Lighting

Step 3: Lift the Acrylic Deck Cover Carefully

Raise the transparent deck panel slowly.

Do not pull it away from the scooter immediately because the lighting connectors underneath are still attached.

Step 4: Disconnect the Two Deck-Light Plugs

Locate the two small black 2-pin lighting connectors under the cover.

Press the locking tabs and pull the plastic housings apart.

Once both plugs are disconnected, remove the deck cover and place it somewhere safe.

The battery, dual controllers, and main wiring are now accessible.

Disconnect the Battery

Step 5: Disconnect the Yellow XT60 Main Power Connector

Locate the large yellow XT60 plug connecting the battery to the scooter electrical system.

Grip both plastic connector housings firmly and pull them apart.

Do not pull on the red or black power cables.

The XT60 should be disconnected before the battery or controller wiring is moved.

Disconnect the Charging Connectors

Step 6: Unplug the Two Charging-Port Connections

Locate the white 2-pin connectors leading from the battery to the two external charging ports.

Disconnect both plugs.

Hold the connector housings rather than pulling the wires.

At this point, the battery should no longer be connected to the scooter's main power or charging circuits.

Clear the Wiring From the Battery

Step 7: Move the Harnesses Away From the Battery

Several control, lighting, and display wires may lie over or beside the battery.

Move these harnesses carefully into the side channels of the deck.

Do not pull the connectors or sharply bend the wires.

The top and edges of the battery should be clear before lifting it.

Remove the Old Battery

Step 8: Lift the Battery Straight Up

Support the battery from both ends.

Lift it vertically out of the battery compartment.

The Q06Pro battery is heavy, so keep a firm grip and do not lift it by the cables.

Place the removed battery on a dry, stable, nonconductive work surface.

Do not place tools or loose metal parts across the battery terminals or connectors.

Inspect the Empty Battery Compartment

Step 9: Clean and Check the Deck Base

Before fitting the replacement battery, inspect the bottom of the compartment.

Remove loose dirt, old adhesive, or debris.

Check that:

  • No screw or metal object is left underneath
  • No wire is trapped across the battery mounting area
  • The metal base is flat
  • There are no sharp points pressing into the battery housing

The new battery should sit on a clean, even surface.

Apply Anti-Vibration Tape to the New Battery

Step 10: Apply Three Strips of Double-Sided Tape

Turn or tilt the replacement 60V battery so the bottom surface is accessible.

Apply three strips of thick double-sided tape across the battery bottom:

  • One near the front
  • One through the middle
  • One near the rear

Press each strip flat against the battery case.

Remove the release backing from the tape after the strips are positioned.

Install the New Battery

Step 11: Check the Battery Orientation

Before lowering the battery into the deck, confirm the cable direction.

Position the replacement pack so its main cables face the controller section in the same direction as the original installation.

Do not twist the battery simply to make the wires reach.

Step 12: Lower the Battery Into the Deck

Support both ends of the battery and lower it vertically into the compartment.

Keep the wiring outside the battery edges while lowering it.

Once the battery is in its final position, press down firmly by hand so the double-sided tape contacts the deck base.

The battery should sit flat without rocking inside the compartment.

Reinstall Controller A and Controller B

Step 13: Position the Dual Controllers

Place Controller A and Controller B back into the rear controller compartment.

Slide them into position beside each other.

Do not force the controller housings against the motor phase wires.

The thick motor cables should curve naturally rather than being sharply folded underneath a controller.

Reconnect the Control Wiring

Step 14: Restore the Small Signal Connectors

Reconnect the white, black, and transparent-sleeve connectors that were moved during battery removal.

Match each connector to its original counterpart.

Check the keyed shape and locking tab before pushing the housings together.

Do not force two similar-looking connectors together based only on size or color.

Reconnect the XT60 Main Power Connector

Step 15: Connect the Battery Main Lead

After the battery and controllers are back in position and the other wiring has been arranged, reconnect the yellow XT60 battery plug.

Align the keyed connector shape and push the two halves together fully.

The XT60 should remain one of the last electrical connections made during the installation.

Reconnect the Two Charging-Port Plugs

Step 16: Connect Both Charging Leads

Reconnect the two white 2-pin connectors leading to the external charging ports.

Push each connector together until the locking feature engages.

Keep these connectors away from the deck-cover fasteners and controller edges.

Arrange the Wiring Inside the Deck

Step 17: Lay the Harnesses Flat

Move the thick motor wiring into the spaces around the controllers.

Lay the smaller control wires and front harnesses along the battery surface or side channels as shown in the original installation.

Do not leave large loops standing above the battery where they can be crushed by the deck cover.

Step 18: Clear All 12 Bolt Holes

Check each deck-cover mounting point.

No wire should cross directly under a bolt hole.

Also check the full perimeter of the deck.

The cover must not pinch any cable between the acrylic panel and the metal frame.

Reconnect the Deck Lights

Step 19: Connect the Two Lighting Plugs

Bring the acrylic deck cover back over the scooter.

Reconnect the two black 2-pin lighting plugs underneath the panel.

Confirm both connectors are fully engaged.

Do not lower the panel until the lighting wires are positioned safely inside the deck.

Perform a Power Check

Step 20: Test the Scooter Before Fully Tightening the Cover

Place the deck cover into position.

Turn on the scooter and check that the electrical system powers up normally.

Confirm the deck lighting operates.

If the scooter does not power on, switch it off again and recheck the yellow XT60 connector and the wiring that was disturbed during the battery replacement.

Do not continue tightening the deck until the electrical check is complete.

Reinstall the Acrylic Deck Cover

Step 21: Install the 12 Fastener Sets

Align the deck cover with all mounting holes.

Install the front and rear bolts.

For the eight side through-bolts, hold the lower locknut with the thin open-end wrench while tightening the Allen bolt from above.

Start all fasteners before fully tightening them.

Tighten the Cover Progressively

Step 22: Tighten Around the Deck in Stages

Tighten the deck fasteners gradually around the perimeter.

Do not fully tighten one corner while the other fasteners remain loose.

The acrylic panel should settle flat against the deck frame.

Avoid excessive force, especially on the transparent panel.

If the cover begins to bow or stress around a mounting hole, stop and check the alignment.

Important Battery Handling Notes

Do not carry the battery by its XT60 or charging wires.

Do not place the removed battery on a conductive metal workbench with loose hardware nearby.

If the battery housing is swollen, damaged, unusually hot, leaking, or has suffered a severe impact, do not reinstall or charge it until it has been properly evaluated.

Keep the XT60 Disconnected During Mechanical Work

The yellow XT60 is the main battery supply connection.

Disconnect it before lifting the battery, moving the controllers, or rearranging the main electrical harness.

Reconnect it only after the battery and controller wiring have been returned to their proper positions.

Do Not Pinch Wiring Under the Deck

The Q06Pro deck contains the battery, two controllers, motor wiring, lighting connections, and control harnesses in a limited space.

Before reinstalling the cover, inspect all 12 mounting holes and the entire deck perimeter.

A wire trapped under a fastener or acrylic edge can damage its insulation and create an intermittent electrical problem later.
