How to Remove the Charging Port on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers charging port removal on an arwibon q30 scooter. The process includes disconnecting the battery, unplugging the charging connector, moving the controller aside, removing the inner retaining nut, and pulling the charging port out through the side of the deck.
Turn the scooter off before starting. Disconnect the yellow XT60 battery plug before working around the charging port wiring.
Tools Needed
Prepare:
- 19 mm open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
- Allen key
- Protective gloves
Step 1: Open the Deck Compartment
Remove the deck cover to expose the battery, controller, and charging-port wiring.

Locate the yellow XT60 main battery connector first.
Step 2: Disconnect the XT60 Battery Plug
Separate the yellow XT60 connector.

This should be done before touching the charging-port wiring or using a metal wrench inside the deck.
Hold the plastic connector housings instead of pulling on the wires.
Step 3: Disconnect the Charging-Port Plug
Locate the white 2-pin connector between the charging port and the battery wiring.

Unplug the connector carefully.
Keep the disconnected plug clear of the surrounding controller wiring.
Step 4: Move the Controller Aside
Lift the aluminum controller slightly out of its normal position.

Move it only far enough to access the inside of the charging-port mounting area.
The retaining nut becomes visible from inside the deck at about 00:15.
Do not pull hard on the controller harness while moving it.
Step 5: Loosen the Charging-Port Retaining Nut
Use a 19 mm wrench on the large metal nut inside the deck.
The official arwibon q30 video shows the wrench being positioned at about 00:18.
Turn the nut counterclockwise.
The video shows the retaining nut being loosened at about 00:20.
Support the charging port from the outside if it begins to rotate with the nut.
Step 6: Remove the Retaining Nut and Washer
Once the nut is loose enough, continue turning it by hand.

Slide the nut off along the charging-port wires.
Remove the washer at the same time.
Keep the nut and washer together if the same charging port will be reinstalled.
Step 7: Repeat for the Second Charging Port if Equipped
Some Arwibon Q30 configurations use two charging ports.
The official video shows the second retaining nut being removed at about 00:36.
If your arwibon q30 electric scooter has two ports, repeat the same procedure on the other side.
If your scooter has only one charging port, skip this step.
Step 8: Pull the Charging Port Out From the Side
Move to the outside of the deck.
Hold the charging-port body, including the rubber dust cover.
The official arwibon q30 video shows the charging port being pulled outward at about 00:54.
Pull the port straight out through the mounting hole.
Step 9: Feed the Charging Cable Through the Opening
As the charging port comes out, guide its cable and white connector through the hole in the deck.
The official video shows the wiring coming completely through at about 00:57.
Do not pull the cable sharply against the metal edge of the opening.
Once the connector clears the hole, the charging port assembly is fully removed.
Step 10: Keep the Removed Hardware Together
Keep these parts together:
- charging port
- retaining nut
- washer
- rubber dust cover
- white 2-pin connector and cable
If there are two charging ports, keep each port with its own hardware.
Step 11: Inspect the Charging Port
Before reinstalling the same unit or fitting a replacement, check:
- the rubber dust cover;
- the connector housing;
- the cable insulation;
- the threaded mounting section;
- the washer and retaining nut.
If the rubber cover is torn or the wire insulation is damaged near the port, correct that before putting the charging system back into service.
