Arwibon Electric Scooter Tubeless Tire Installation and Leak Test Guide
If the tubeless tire on your Arwibon scooter is punctured, damaged, badly worn, or needs to be replaced with a 100/65-6.5 off-road tire, the new tire must be mounted without damaging the bead, motor cable, rim, or valve assembly.
This guide follows the supplied Arwibon tubeless tire installation procedure. It covers mounting both tire beads, installing the angled valve stem, seating the bead with compressed air, correcting an uneven bead, and checking the finished wheel for air leaks.
Tools and Materials Needed
- Heavy-duty tire levers
- Medium flat-head screwdriver
- Rubber mallet or small hammer
- Valve-stem wrench
- Regulated air compressor and inflation chuck
- Clean water or soapy water for leak testing
- Tire mounting lubricant or soapy solution, optional
- Protective gloves
Use tire levers with smooth, undamaged edges. Sharp tools can cut the tire bead or damage the wheel sealing surface.
Check the Tire Before Installation
Step 1: Confirm the Tire Specification
Check the marking on the sidewall.
The tire shown in the supplied procedure is marked:

Confirm that the replacement tire matches the wheel before mounting it.
Step 2: Check the Tire Direction
Look for a directional arrow on the tire sidewall or inspect the tread direction specified by the tire manufacturer.
Position the tire so the rotation direction matches the wheel's normal forward movement.
Do this before forcing either bead onto the rim.
Protect the Motor Cable Before Using Tire Levers
The motor cable exits through one side of the wheel axle.
Do not use the cable-side axle or cable itself as a support point for a tire lever.
Keep tools away from:
- Motor phase wiring
- Hall wiring
- Cable exit point
- Rim sealing surface
- Valve opening
Damage in these areas can create an electrical fault or an air leak even when the tire itself is undamaged.
Install the First Tire Bead
Step 3: Start One Side by Hand
Place the wheel at an angle inside the tire.
Push one section of the first tire bead over the rim edge by hand.
Continue working around the circumference.
Step 4: Push the Opposite Side Into the Drop Center
As more of the bead enters the wheel, keep the already-installed section pushed into the deepest center section of the rim.
This drop-center position is important.
It gives the remaining bead more working clearance and reduces the amount of force required from the tire levers.
Continue until the entire first bead is inside the rim.
Install the Second Tire Bead
Step 5: Start as Much of the Second Bead as Possible by Hand
Push the second bead over the rim with your hands first.
Do not immediately use maximum leverage.
Work around the wheel until only the tighter final section remains outside.
Step 6: Insert the First Tire Lever
Place a tire lever beneath a small section of the remaining bead.
Do not insert the tool deeper than necessary.
Lever a short section over the rim.
Keep the opposite side of the tire pressed into the rim's drop center.
Step 7: Use a Second Lever in Small Steps
Keep the first section from slipping back.
Insert the second lever a short distance away and move another small section over the rim.
Continue around the wheel a little at a time.
Small movements put less stress on the tire bead than trying to force a large section over the rim at once.
Be Careful With the Final Section of Bead
The last section is normally the tightest.
Before applying more force, check the opposite side again.
If that bead has climbed out of the drop center, push it back down.
This often creates enough additional clearance to finish the installation without excessive leverage.
Do not keep forcing the bead if it feels abnormally tight. Recheck its position first.
Check the Tire Position Before Inflation
Step 8: Work Around the Tire by Hand
Once both beads are inside the rim, press and massage the tire around its full circumference.
Look for any section of bead that is folded, twisted, or trapped incorrectly.
The tire should sit approximately centered on the wheel before air pressure is applied.
Install the Angled Tubeless Valve Stem
Step 9: Inspect the Valve Components
The supplied procedure uses a 90-degree metal valve stem.
Check the valve stem, sealing rubber, washer, and retaining nut before installation.
The sealing surfaces should be clean.
Step 10: Install the Valve Stem
Insert the valve into the wheel's valve opening in the orientation shown by the original assembly.
Fit the sealing components and retaining hardware in their original order.
Position the angled outlet so it remains accessible for inflation and does not interfere with the wheel, brake, or suspension.
Step 11: Tighten the Valve Hardware
Use the appropriate valve-stem tool to secure the retaining nut.
The valve should sit firmly and evenly against its sealing surface.
Do not keep tightening merely to make the nut "as tight as possible." Excessive force can deform the rubber seal or valve hardware.
If light seating with a soft tool is part of the original assembly procedure, avoid striking the valve directly with a steel hammer.
Lubricate the Bead if Necessary
A small amount of suitable tire mounting lubricant or diluted soapy solution can be applied around the tire bead.
This can help the bead slide into its rim seat more evenly during inflation.
Do not use petroleum grease or oil on the tire bead.
These products are not suitable substitutes for tire mounting lubricant.
Begin Bead Seating
Step 12: Connect a Regulated Air Supply
Attach the inflation chuck securely to the valve.
Use a regulated air source.
Keep your hands and face away from the tire sidewall and bead area while pressure is increasing.
Step 13: Inflate Gradually
Begin adding air.
Watch both sides of the tire.
As pressure increases, the beads should move outward toward the rim seats.
You may hear one or more popping sounds as sections of bead move into position.
A popping sound can occur during seating, but it should not be used as the only indication that the tire is correctly installed.
Never Exceed the Tire or Rim Pressure Limit
Use the pressure limits specified on the actual tire, wheel, or Arwibon service information.
Do not use an arbitrary high pressure simply to force a difficult bead into place.
If the bead will not seat within the permitted pressure range:
- Stop inflation.
- Release the pressure.
- Recheck the bead position.
- Apply suitable mounting lubricant if needed.
- Reposition the tire.
- Try again.
Do not continue increasing pressure beyond the rated limit.
Check the Bead Line
Step 14: Inspect One Side of the Tire
Most tubeless tires have a molded reference line near the rim.
Rotate the wheel slowly.
The line should remain approximately the same distance from the rim around the full circumference.
Step 15: Inspect the Opposite Side
Turn the wheel over and repeat the check.
A section sitting noticeably deeper than the rest indicates that the bead has not seated evenly.
Do not proceed to riding with an uneven bead.
Correct an Uneven Bead
Step 16: Release Air Pressure
If one section has not seated properly, release pressure through the valve.
Do not try to pry a highly pressurized tire into position.
Step 17: Reposition the Tire
Press and manipulate the low section by hand.
Make sure the bead is not twisted or trapped.
Apply a small amount of suitable mounting lubricant if required.
Step 18: Inflate Again
Reconnect the air supply and reinflate gradually.
Recheck the molded bead line on both sides.
Repeat the process if necessary until the tire sits evenly around the rim.
Check for Bead Leaks
Step 19: Apply Water Around the First Rim Edge
Once the tire is seated and inflated to the appropriate test pressure, apply clean water or soapy water along the tire-to-rim joint.
Watch the area for several seconds.
A continuous stream of growing bubbles indicates escaping air.
Step 20: Check the Other Side
Turn the wheel over.
Repeat the test around the complete bead on the opposite side.
Do not check only the section that was difficult to mount.
Inspect the full circumference.
Check the Valve Stem for Leaks
Step 21: Test the Valve Base
Apply the leak-detection liquid around the base of the angled valve stem.
Watch for continuous bubble formation.
Step 22: Test the Valve Core
Apply a small amount around the valve opening and core.
If bubbles continue forming, inspect the valve core and valve-stem seal before putting the wheel back into service.

Do Not Damage the Tire Bead
The tire bead contains reinforcing material that must remain intact to seal correctly against the rim.
If the bead is cut, kinked, badly deformed, or damaged by a tire lever, do not assume additional air pressure will fix it.
A damaged bead can continue leaking or fail to seat safely.
Keep the Opposite Bead in the Drop Center
This is one of the most important mounting points.
When the last section becomes difficult to install, check the opposite side before applying more force.
Keeping that section inside the wheel's drop center effectively gives the remaining bead more working circumference.
This is safer than repeatedly forcing the final section with a long tire lever.
Do Not Use a Screwdriver as a Deep Pry Tool
A flat screwdriver may be useful for limited positioning in the supplied procedure, but it should not be pushed deeply between the tire and rim.
The sharp edge can damage:
- Tire bead
- Rim sealing surface
- Valve components
- Internal wheel surfaces
A proper tire lever is preferable for the main mounting work.
Check the Tire for Runout After Seating
Once the bead appears seated correctly, rotate the wheel slowly.
Watch the tread from the front and side.
A correctly installed tire should rotate without a major vertical hop or side-to-side wobble caused by uneven bead seating.
If one section of the molded bead line disappears below the rim edge, deflate and reseat the tire before riding.
Set the Final Tire Pressure From the Actual Specification
The supplied material mentions a 45–50 PSI recommendation, but the correct operating pressure should be taken from the tire sidewall, wheel specification, or the applicable Arwibon service information for the exact tire and scooter configuration.
Do not automatically use 45–50 PSI on every Arwibon scooter tire.
Tire size, carcass construction, rider load, rim design, and manufacturer limits can differ.
Final Inspection Before Reinstalling the Wheel
Before putting the wheel back on the Arwibon electric scooter, confirm:
- Both tire beads are fully seated
- Bead lines are even on both sides
- No bead damage is visible
- Tire direction is correct
- Valve stem is secure
- Valve core does not leak
- No continuous bubbles appear around either bead
- Motor cable has not been damaged
- Tire holds pressure after the leak test
After installation on the scooter, check the tire pressure again before the first ride.
