How to Install the Fixed Lock and Handlebar on an Arwibon GT08 Scooter
This tutorial covers installation of the quick-release fixed lock, inner T-bar stem, and handlebar assembly on an arwibon gt08 scooter.
The most important point is the height limit on the telescopic stem. The “WARNING MAX LIFT LIMIT” mark must remain inside the outer stem when the handlebar height is adjusted.
Step 1: Install the Quick-Release Fixed Lock
Take the black quick-release clamp and place it over the top opening of the outer stem.
The official arwibon gt08 video shows this at about 00:01 to 00:05.
Position the quick-release lever so it can be opened and closed easily from the side of the stem.
Make sure the clamp sits fully over the top of the outer tube.
Step 2: Insert the Inner T-Bar Stem
Take the black telescopic inner stem and slide it vertically into the outer stem.
The official gt08 electric scooter video shows this at about 00:10.
Push the tube in smoothly without forcing it.
The inner stem should move up and down through the clamp so the handlebar height can be adjusted.
Step 3: Check the MAX LIFT LIMIT Mark
At about 00:13, the video points out the white marking on the inner stem:
“WARNING MAX LIFT LIMIT”
This mark indicates the maximum extension position.
When setting the handlebar height, keep this warning line below the top of the outer stem.
Do not ride the arwibon gt08 scooter with the MAX LIFT LIMIT mark exposed above the clamp.
The inner tube needs to remain inserted far enough into the outer stem to maintain proper support.
Step 4: Set the Handlebar Height
Move the inner stem up or down until it reaches the required height.
The official video shows this adjustment at about 00:18.
Before locking it, check again that the MAX LIFT LIMIT mark is still inside the outer tube.
Keep the stem facing straight forward.
Step 5: Adjust the Quick-Release Clamp Tension
Locate the adjustment nut on the opposite side of the quick-release lever.
Turn the nut by hand to change the clamp tension.
The official arwibon gt08 video shows this at about 00:20.
If the lever closes too easily and the inner stem can still move, tighten the adjustment nut slightly.
If the lever cannot be closed normally, loosen the nut slightly.
Make small adjustments rather than turning the nut several rotations at once.
Step 6: Close the Quick-Release Lever
Push the quick-release lever into the locked position.
The official gt08 scooter video shows this at about 00:24.
Once locked, hold the inner stem and try to push, pull, and rotate it.
The stem should remain in position.
If it still slides or twists, open the lever and increase the clamp tension before testing again.
Step 7: Position the Handlebar Assembly
Take the complete handlebar assembly.
The video shows the handlebar with the large center display, key lock, brake levers, and other controls already installed.
The official arwibon gt08 electric scooter video shows the assembly being positioned at about 00:31.
Align the center handlebar mount with the top of the inner stem.
Step 8: Slide the Handlebar Mount Onto the Stem
Lower the handlebar center mount onto the top of the T-bar stem.
The official video shows this at about 00:34.
Push the mount down until it is fully seated.
Do not leave the handlebar mount partially fitted onto the stem.
Step 9: Align the Handlebar With the Front Wheel
Before tightening the handlebar mounting bolts, check its direction.
The official video shows the handlebar being positioned at about 00:38.
Stand in front of or behind the scooter and compare the handlebar position with the front wheel.
The handlebar should point straight ahead when the front wheel is straight.
Correct the alignment before tightening the clamp bolts.
Step 10: Tighten the Handlebar Clamp Bolts
Use a long T-handle Allen wrench on the clamp bolts at the handlebar mount.
The official arwibon gt08 video shows this beginning at about 00:42.
Tighten the bolts gradually.
The video shows work on the two sides from about 00:45 through 00:58.
Do not fully tighten one side while the other remains loose.
Work between the two mounting bolts so the clamp closes evenly around the stem.
Step 11: Recheck the Quick-Release Clamp
After the handlebar is mounted, check the quick-release clamp again.
The official gt08 scooter tutorial shows the final adjustment from about 01:05 to 01:11.
Hold the handlebar and try to rotate or move the inner stem.
If there is movement, open the quick-release lever, adjust the tension nut slightly, and lock it again.
Repeat until the stem stays firmly in position.
Step 12: Final Check Before Riding
Before riding the arwibon gt08 scooter, check the complete handlebar assembly.
Make sure:
- the quick-release clamp sits correctly on the outer stem;
- the MAX LIFT LIMIT mark is not exposed above the outer tube;
- the quick-release lever closes firmly;
- the inner stem does not slide up or down;
- the inner stem does not rotate inside the outer tube;
- the handlebar mount is fully seated;
- both handlebar clamp bolts are secure;
- the handlebar is aligned with the front wheel.
Hold the front wheel between your legs and gently try to turn the handlebar from side to side.
The handlebar and stem should move together without independent play.
This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “GT08 Fixed Lock and Bar Installation | Arwibon GT08” and covers installation of the quick-release fixed lock, telescopic T-bar stem, and handlebar assembly on the arwibon gt08 electric scooter.
