How to Fix Front Brake Grinding on an Arwibon GT08 Scooter
If the front brake on your arwibon gt08 scooter makes a scraping or grinding sound while the wheel is turning, the brake caliper may not be centered over the disc. The official Arwibon GT08 tutorial shows how to release the brake cable, correct the caliper position, reinstall the return spring, and set the brake lever travel.
Step 1: Check the Brake Grinding
Spin the front wheel by hand.
If the brake disc is rubbing the pads, you will hear a clear scraping sound.

Before changing anything, watch the disc as it passes through the caliper. This gives you a better idea of which side is rubbing.
Step 2: Release the Brake Cable
Use an Allen wrench to loosen the cable fixing bolt on the front brake caliper.

Once the cable tension is released, remove the return spring from the brake arm area.

Use the Allen wrench to loosen it slightly.

Step 4: Loosen the Caliper Mounting Bolts

Step 5: Center the Brake Disc Between the Pads

Tighten the upper and lower caliper bolts gradually.

Work between both bolts so the caliper does not move out of position.

After tightening, spin the front wheel again.
If the disc is still rubbing heavily, loosen the mounting bolts slightly and repeat the centering step.
Step 7: Reinstall the Return Spring
Feed the brake cable back through the return spring.
Place the spring into its correct seat on the brake assembly.

The spring needs to sit straight in its locating position.
If it is twisted or sitting outside the groove, the brake arm may not return correctly after the lever is released.
Step 8: Reconnect the Brake Cable
Pass the inner brake cable through the clamp on the caliper brake arm.
Pull the cable upward to remove excessive slack.

Hold the cable in position and tighten the fixing bolt with the Allen wrench.

Do not make the cable excessively tight at this stage. The brake lever still needs to be checked.
Step 9: Check the Brake Lever Travel
Move to the handlebar and squeeze the front brake lever several times.

Check how far the lever moves before the brake is fully applied.
The video gives a simple reference point: when the brake lever is squeezed firmly, there should be about one finger's width between the lever and the handlebar grip.

If the lever comes too close to the grip, increase the cable tension slightly.
If the lever becomes too tight and the brake starts dragging, reduce the tension.
Step 10: Tighten the Brake Cable Fully
Once the lever travel feels correct, return to the front caliper.
Hold the brake cable in position and tighten the cable fixing bolt securely.

Make sure the cable does not slip when the brake lever is squeezed.
Step 11: Spin the Front Wheel Again
Lift the front wheel and rotate it by hand.
Listen for scraping.
The wheel should turn smoothly without continuous grinding from the brake disc.
Check the disc as it passes between the pads.
There should be clearance on both sides instead of the disc sitting hard against one pad.
Step 12: Final Brake Check
Before riding the arwibon gt08 scooter, squeeze the front brake several times and check the complete brake assembly.
Make sure:
