How to Remove and Install the Brake Disc on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers brake disc removal and installation on an arwibon q30 scooter. The procedure applies after the wheel has already been removed from the scooter and placed on a stable work surface.
The brake disc shown in the supplied procedure is a 140 mm, 6-bolt disc. During installation, start all six screws first and tighten them gradually in a cross pattern rather than fully tightening one screw at a time.
Tools and Parts Needed
Prepare:
- No. 4 hex key or T-handle hex wrench
- Replacement 140 mm 6-bolt brake disc
- Six brake disc mounting screws
- Protective gloves
- Clean cloth

Part 1: Remove the Old Brake Disc
Step 1: Place the Wheel on a Stable Surface

Step 4: Remove the Old Brake Disc

Part 2: Install the New Brake Disc

Move between screws on opposite sides of the brake disc.

- Tighten one screw slightly.
- Move across the disc to another screw.
- Continue to a different opposite-side screw.
- Repeat until all six screws begin to seat evenly.

Step 9: Make the Final Tightening Pass
Continue working around the six mounting screws in the cross pattern.

Once the disc is sitting flat, go through all six screws again and make sure none has been missed.

Step 10: Check That the Disc Sits Flat
Look around the mounting area where the brake disc contacts the hub.
The disc should sit evenly against the mounting surface.
Check that:
- all six screws are installed;
- no screw is visibly backed out;
- the disc is not trapped on top of debris;
- the disc does not sit higher on one side.
If the disc is not sitting flat, loosen the mounting screws and correct the position before reinstalling the wheel.
Step 11: Keep the Brake Surface Clean
Avoid touching the braking surface with greasy or oily hands.
Do not apply lubricant to the brake disc.
If the disc has picked up fingerprints or contamination during installation, clean the braking surface with a suitable brake-safe cleaner or clean alcohol-based cloth before putting it into service.
Step 12: Reinstall the Wheel and Check the Brake
