How to Install the Rear Tire on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers rear tire installation on an Arwibon Q30 scooter. The procedure shown in the supplied video includes mounting the tire on the rear motor rim, inflating it, reinstalling the brake disc, fitting the motor wheel back into the swingarm, securing the axle hardware, reinstalling the rear brake, and fixing the motor cable back to the frame.
Tools and Parts Needed
Prepare:
- New rear tire
- Air pump
- Two flat-head screwdrivers or suitable tire levers
- Allen key
- Large open-end wrench or adjustable wrench
- Threadlocker
- Nylon cable ties
- Scissors
- Small stool or support stand
- Protective gloves
If an inner tube is being used, make sure it is correctly positioned inside the tire before levering the second bead onto the rim.
Part 1: Mount the Tire on the Motor Rim
Step 1: Position the Tire on the Rim
Place the new tire over the rear motor rim.

If the tire has a directional arrow on the sidewall, check its rotation direction before installation.
Do not wait until the wheel is back on the scooter to check tire direction.
Step 2: Push the First Tire Bead Into the Rim
Use your hands to press one side of the tire bead into the rim channel.

Work around the rim until the first side is seated.
Keep as much of the installed bead as possible down in the deeper center section of the rim. This gives you more room when installing the second side.
Step 3: Start the Second Tire Bead
Push as much of the second bead onto the rim by hand as possible.
Use the tire levers or flat-head screwdrivers only when the remaining section becomes too tight to install by hand.

Step 4: Work the Second Bead Onto the Rim
Use the two tools alternately.
Lift or push only a small section of the tire bead over the rim at a time.
Move gradually around the wheel rather than trying to force a large section over at once.
Keep the opposite side of the bead pushed into the center channel while working.
If an inner tube is fitted, keep the tools shallow so they do not pinch or puncture the tube.
Do not lever against the valve stem or motor cable.
Step 5: Check the Tire Bead Around the Wheel
Once both sides are on the rim, squeeze and work the tire around the entire circumference by hand.

Look for any section where the bead is folded, trapped, or sitting differently from the rest of the tire.
Correct the bead position before inflating.
Part 2: Inflate and Seat the Tire
Step 6: Connect the Air Pump
Locate the valve stem.

Attach the pump securely.
Keep the valve stem straight rather than pulling it sideways.
Step 7: Inflate the Tire
Begin inflating the tire.
The supplied video says to inflate it to the proper amount at about 01:15.
Use the pressure specified for the tire actually installed on the scooter. The supplied procedure does not provide a numeric pressure, so do not guess one.
As pressure rises, watch both sides of the tire bead.
They should seat evenly around the rim.
Step 8: Check That the Bead Is Even
After inflation, rotate the wheel slowly by hand.
Look at the tire where it meets the rim.
The bead should sit at a similar height around the full circumference.
If one section is visibly deeper or higher than the rest, correct it before putting the wheel back on the scooter.
Part 3: Reinstall the Brake Disc
Step 9: Position the Brake Disc
Place the brake disc back onto the motor hub.

Align all six mounting holes.
If the disc has a directional marking, return it in the correct orientation.
Step 10: Start All Six Brake Disc Bolts
Insert the six Allen bolts.
Start every bolt before fully tightening any one of them.
This keeps the disc sitting flat against the hub.
Step 11: Tighten the Brake Disc Bolts in a Cross Pattern
Use the Allen key to tighten the six mounting bolts gradually.
The official video shows this at about 01:28.
Move between bolts on opposite sides of the disc rather than tightening them in a simple circle.
Make a second pass once all six are seated.
No brake-disc torque value is provided in the supplied material, so do not use a guessed figure.
Part 4: Install the Rear Motor Wheel
Step 12: Raise the Scooter
Place the scooter securely on a stool or support stand.

The rear wheel needs to remain off the ground while you reinstall the motor axle and brake caliper.
Make sure the scooter cannot roll or tip.
Step 13: Position the Motor Wheel in the Swingarm
Lift the rear motor wheel into place.
Align the motor axle with the open slots in the rear swingarm.

Push both sides of the axle fully into the slots.
Keep the motor cable in its original orientation.
Step 14: Position the Anti-Rotation Washers
Check the tabbed anti-rotation washers on the motor axle.

The locating tabs must engage correctly with the swingarm slots.
Do not tighten the axle nuts while either anti-rotation washer is sitting outside its intended position.
Step 15: Prepare the Axle Threads
The supplied video shows threadlocker being applied to the axle threads at about 02:20 and again on the opposite side at about 02:40.
If you are using threadlocker, use a product appropriate for this hardware and follow that product's instructions.
Do not mix different threadlocker types or assume that a stronger grade is always better.
Step 16: Install the Washers and Axle Nuts
Return the flat washers and axle nuts in their original positions.
Start both axle nuts by hand.
Check again that the axle is fully seated and both anti-rotation washer tabs are correctly engaged.
Step 17: Tighten Both Axle Nuts
Use the large wrench to tighten the axle nuts.

Work from one side to the other while checking that the motor wheel remains correctly seated in the swingarm.
The supplied procedure does not provide an axle torque specification, so do not invent one.
Part 5: Reinstall and Adjust the Rear Brake
Step 18: Reinstall the Rear Brake Caliper
Place the rear brake caliper over the brake disc.

Align the caliper mounting holes.
Insert the two Allen bolts and start both before final tightening.
Step 19: Tighten and Center the Caliper
The official video shows the caliper bolts being installed at about 03:12.
Tighten them gradually.
Check that the brake disc runs between the pads rather than pressing heavily against one side.
Reposition the caliper slightly if needed before final tightening.
Step 20: Reinstall the Brake Cable
Route the inner brake cable through the caliper adjuster and protective spring.

Make sure the outer cable housing is correctly seated before securing the inner cable.
Step 21: Set the Brake Cable Tension
Move the caliper arm forward enough to remove obvious cable slack.
Pull the inner cable straight and hold it in position.

Tighten the cable clamp bolt.
Do not pull the cable so tightly that the pads remain applied after the brake lever is released.
Step 22: Spin the Rear Wheel
Rotate the rear wheel firmly by hand.
The official video shows this at about 03:42.
Check that:
- the tire rotates normally;
- the brake disc does not have heavy continuous rubbing;
- the tire does not wobble obviously on the rim.
If the brake drags heavily, correct the caliper or cable adjustment before continuing.
Step 23: Test the Rear Brake
Operate the rear brake lever.

The brake should engage and then release normally.
Spin the wheel again after releasing the lever.
Part 6: Secure the Motor Cable
Step 24: Position the Rear Motor Cable
Arrange the motor cable along the inside of the rear swingarm.

Follow the original routing path.
Keep it away from the tire, brake disc, and suspension movement.
Step 25: Secure the Cable With Nylon Ties
Use nylon cable ties at the original securing points.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows this at about 04:01.
Tighten the ties enough to hold the cable in place without crushing or sharply bending it.
Leave enough cable movement where the suspension requires it.
Step 26: Trim the Cable Ties
Use scissors to cut off the excess tie ends.
The official video shows this at about 04:08.
Cut them cleanly so sharp plastic ends are not left where they can catch on wiring or clothing.
Final Check
Before riding the Arwibon Q30 scooter, confirm that:
- the tire bead is evenly seated around the rim;
- the tire is inflated to the pressure specified for the installed tire;
- all six brake disc bolts are secure;
- both anti-rotation washer tabs are correctly engaged;
- both axle nuts are secure;
- the rear brake caliper is mounted correctly;
- the brake disc does not have heavy continuous drag;
- the rear brake operates and releases normally;
- the motor cable is secured away from the tire and brake disc;
- the cable ties do not pinch the motor wiring.
