How to Remove the Kickstand on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers removal of the side kickstand on an Arwibon Q30 scooter. The kickstand is mounted to the left rear side of the deck with two Allen bolts.
Tools Needed
Prepare:
- Allen key
- Protective gloves
Step 1: Locate the Kickstand Mount
Move to the left rear side of the scooter deck.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows the kickstand assembly at about 00:00.
Locate the two Allen bolts holding the kickstand bracket to the side of the frame.
The two mounting bolts are visible at about 00:01.
Step 2: Loosen the Upper Mounting Bolt
Insert the Allen key fully into the upper bolt.
The official video shows this at about 00:03.
Turn the bolt counterclockwise to loosen it.
Make sure the tool is fully seated in the bolt head before applying force so the internal hex does not strip.
Step 3: Loosen the Lower Mounting Bolt
Move to the lower kickstand bolt.
The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows this at about 00:05.
Turn it counterclockwise to loosen it.
At this stage, keep both bolts partially installed so the kickstand remains supported.
Step 4: Remove the Two Bolts Gradually
Continue working between the upper and lower bolts.
The official video shows both bolts being backed out through about 00:10.
Loosen them alternately rather than removing one completely while the other is still tight.
Support the kickstand with one hand as the bolts become loose.
Step 5: Remove the Bolts and Washers
Once both bolts are loose, remove them completely by hand.
The official video shows this at about 00:18.
Remove the washers with the bolts and keep the hardware together.
If the same mounting hardware will be reused, do not mix these bolts with other deck or frame screws.
Step 6: Remove the Kickstand Assembly
Hold the kickstand body and pull it away from the frame mounting surface.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows the kickstand being removed at about 00:24.
The kickstand assembly is now completely removed from the scooter.
Step 7: Check the Mounting Area
After removal, inspect the two threaded mounting holes on the frame.
Check for:
- damaged threads;
- loose debris;
- damaged bolt heads;
- bent kickstand mounting surfaces.
If a replacement kickstand will be installed, keep the original bolts and washers available unless the replacement part includes its own correct hardware.
Final Check
After removal, confirm that:
- both kickstand bolts have been removed;
- both washers have been kept with the hardware;
- the kickstand is completely separated from the frame;
- the mounting threads are not damaged.
This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Kickstand Removal | Arwibon Q30” and covers the two-bolt kickstand removal shown for the Arwibon Q30 scooter.
