How to Install the Kickstand on an Arwibon Q30 Scooter
This tutorial covers installation of the side kickstand on an Arwibon Q30 scooter. The kickstand mounts to the left rear side of the deck with two Allen bolts and washers.
Tools and Parts Needed
Prepare:
- Arwibon Q30 kickstand assembly
- Two Allen mounting bolts
- Two flat metal washers
- Allen key
- Protective gloves
Step 1: Locate the Kickstand Mounting Area
Move to the left rear side of the scooter deck.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows the mounting area at about 00:00.
Place the new kickstand against the outside of the frame.
The video shows the kickstand bracket being positioned at about 00:01.
Align the two holes in the kickstand mounting plate with the threaded holes in the scooter frame.
The holes should line up naturally at about 00:03.
Step 2: Start the Upper Mounting Bolt
Place a washer onto the first Allen bolt.
Insert it through the upper hole in the kickstand bracket.
The official video shows this at about 00:05.
Start the bolt by hand for several turns.
Do not fully tighten it yet.
Starting the bolt by hand first reduces the chance of damaging the frame threads.
Step 3: Start the Lower Mounting Bolt
Place the second washer onto the lower bolt.
Insert the bolt through the lower mounting hole.
The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows this at about 00:16.
Thread it into the frame by hand.
Both bolts should now be installed loosely enough for the kickstand bracket to settle flat against the frame.
Step 4: Tighten the Upper Bolt
Use the Allen key to begin tightening the upper mounting bolt.
The official video shows this at about 00:11.
Tighten it partway first rather than locking it fully while the lower bolt is still loose.
Step 5: Tighten the Lower Bolt
Move to the lower mounting bolt.
The official Arwibon Q30 video shows this being tightened at about 00:22.
Tighten it until the kickstand bracket begins to sit firmly against the frame.
Step 6: Alternate Between Both Bolts
Continue working between the upper and lower bolts.
The official video shows the final tightening process at about 00:30.
Tighten one bolt, then return to the other.
This keeps the mounting plate seated evenly against the side of the frame.
No torque value is provided in the supplied procedure, so do not guess a specific tightening torque.
Step 7: Check the Kickstand Base
The official Arwibon Q30 scooter video shows the installed kickstand at about 00:41.
Hold the kickstand bracket by hand and check for movement.
The base should sit flat against the frame without rocking or shifting.
If the bracket moves, recheck both mounting bolts.
Step 8: Test the Folding Action
Move the kickstand down into the support position.
Then fold it back toward the scooter.
Repeat this several times.
The kickstand should move through its normal range without binding.
Check that the return spring brings the stand back normally when it is folded upward.
Step 9: Test the Scooter on Level Ground
Move the Arwibon Q30 onto a flat surface.
Deploy the kickstand and carefully allow the scooter to rest on it.
Check that:
- the kickstand stays fully deployed;
- the scooter does not rock excessively;
- the mounting bracket does not move;
- the stand does not fold unexpectedly.
Do not perform the first support test on a steep slope or uneven surface.
Final Check
Before riding the Arwibon Q30 scooter, confirm that:
- both mounting bolts have washers installed;
- both bolts are securely tightened;
- the kickstand bracket sits flat against the frame;
- the kickstand folds and returns normally;
- the spring operates correctly;
- the scooter stands steadily on level ground.
If threadlocker is used, follow the instructions for the specific product being applied rather than adding an unspecified amount.
This procedure follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “Q30 Kickstand Installation | Arwibon Q30” and covers the two-bolt kickstand mounting and functional check shown for the Arwibon Q30 scooter.
