How to Replace Controller B on an Arwibon GT08 Scooter

Controller B on the arwibon gt08 scooter is the rear motor controller. The replacement process starts inside the deck compartment, where the battery power, motor phase wires, Hall sensor connection, and control harnesses all connect to the controller.

The most important rule in this job is simple: disconnect the main battery power first. Do not remove phase-wire screws or unplug controller harnesses while the scooter is still connected to the battery.

Step 1: Open the Deck Compartment

Remove the screws around the deck cover and lift the cover to expose the battery and controller area.

Locate Controller B inside the deck.

According to the controller label shown for the GT08, Controller B is a 60V sine-wave brushless motor controller rated at 37 ± 1A, with an undervoltage value of 51.5V.

Before touching any wiring, identify the yellow main power connector from the battery.

Step 2: Disconnect the Main Power Plug First

Unplug the yellow high-current battery connector.

“Always unplug the power connection cable first.”

Do this before removing any other wire.

Once the connector is separated, keep both sides away from metal tools and exposed terminals.

Step 3: Remove the Three Motor Phase Wires

Move to the motor terminal side of Controller B.

The rear motor uses three thick phase wires:

• yellow
• green
• blue

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the three screws holding the phase-wire terminals to the controller.

Do not pull on the wires.

Step 5: Disconnect the Remaining Controller Harnesses

Continue disconnecting the remaining plugs one by one.

Keep the connectors separated and organized.

If several plugs look similar, photograph their positions before removing them.

Do not twist multi-pin connectors from side to side. Pull them out along the connector axis after releasing the locking tab.

Step 6: Remove Controller B From the Deck

Once the battery power, motor wires, Hall connector, and control harnesses are disconnected, remove the screws holding Controller B to the deck.

Use the appropriate Allen wrench for the mounting screws.

Support the controller while removing the final screw.

Lift the old Controller B out of the compartment.

Do not pull the controller upward until you have confirmed that every connector has been disconnected.

Step 7: Position the Replacement Controller B

Place the replacement 60V Controller B into the same position used by the original controller.

Align the mounting holes with the deck.

Install the mounting screws and tighten the controller securely in place.

Before reconnecting anything, check that the wiring can reach the controller without being stretched.

Step 8: Reconnect the Control Harnesses

Reconnect the smaller control plugs first.

Match each connector to the same position recorded during disassembly.

Push the plugs in straight until the locking tabs engage.

Do not force a plug that does not fit.

Check the connector shape and pin alignment first.

Reconnect the Hall sensor and the other control harnesses before moving on to the high-current phase wires.

Step 9: Reconnect the Three Motor Phase Wires

Return the yellow, green, and blue rear motor phase wires to the controller terminals.

Follow the same positions used by the original Controller B.

Install the terminal screws and tighten each connection securely.

After tightening, lightly check each wire by hand.

The terminal should not move.

Loose phase-wire connections can create poor electrical contact, so do not leave any terminal partially tightened.

Step 10: Check the Wiring Before Reconnecting Battery Power

Before connecting the battery again, inspect the complete Controller B wiring.

Make sure:

• the yellow, green, and blue phase wires are in their original positions;
• all phase-wire terminal screws are tight;
• the Hall sensor connector is fully seated;
• the control harness plugs are locked in place;
• no wire has been trapped under the controller;
• no exposed terminal is touching another connection.

The main battery power should still be disconnected during this check.

Step 11: Reconnect the Main Battery Power Last

Once every other connection has been checked, reconnect the yellow battery power plug.

This should be the last electrical connection made during the replacement.

Do not connect the battery first and then work around exposed controller terminals.

Step 12: Test Controller B

Before closing the deck, test the scooter.

Keep the drive wheel off the ground for the first motor test.

Turn the scooter on and check:

• the display powers up normally;
• the throttle responds;
• the rear motor runs;
• the brake cutoff works;
• there is no abnormal motor noise;
• no controller connector becomes loose during the test.

If the rear motor does not operate correctly, turn the scooter off and disconnect the battery again before checking the wiring.

Do not move phase wires or unplug Hall connectors while the controller is powered.

Step 13: Reinstall the Deck Cover

Once Controller B is working normally, arrange the wiring inside the deck compartment.

Keep the harnesses away from the deck screw holes and edges.

Place the deck cover back into position.

Install and tighten the deck screws.

Before finishing, check that no cable is trapped under the cover.
