How to Adjust the Speed Limit on an Arwibon GT06 Scooter
The Arwibon GT06 scooter includes a speed-limit setting that can be changed with a short control sequence using the key switch, left brake lever, and throttle.
In the official Arwibon GT06 video, the scooter initially shows a limited speed of about 25 km/h. After the sequence is completed, the display shows an unloaded wheel speed of about 59–60 km/h in the highest riding mode.
Do this only with the scooter stationary and the drive wheel safely off the ground. Never test the procedure by accelerating on the road immediately after changing the setting.
Step 1: Turn Off the GT06
Start with the scooter powered on.
The official video shows the limited speed at about 25 km/h before the adjustment.
Turn the key counterclockwise to switch off the Arwibon GT06 electric scooter.
This is shown at about 00:11.
Make sure the display is completely off before continuing.
Step 2: Hold the Left Brake Lever
With the scooter still powered off, squeeze the left brake lever and keep holding it.
Do not release the brake during the next part of the procedure.
The official Arwibon GT06 tutorial shows the left brake being held at about 00:22.
Step 3: Turn the Scooter Back On
Continue holding the left brake lever.
Turn the key to power the gt06 scooter back on.
Keep the brake lever squeezed while the display starts up.
This step begins at about 00:28 in the official video.
Step 4: Twist the Throttle Fully Three Times
While still holding the left brake lever, use your right hand to rotate the throttle fully.
Do this three times in quick succession.
The sequence is:
- Turn the scooter on while holding the left brake.
- Twist the throttle fully.
- Release the throttle.
- Twist it fully again.
- Release it.
- Twist it fully a third time.
Complete all three throttle movements while the brake lever remains held.
The official Arwibon scooter GT06 video shows this sequence beginning at about 00:30.
Step 5: Release the Brake and Throttle
After the third throttle movement, release the throttle and then release the left brake lever.
The control sequence is now complete.
The video shows this at about 00:36.
Step 6: Check the Speed Setting
Switch the Arwibon GT06 to its highest riding mode.
In the official video, the scooter is placed in third gear and the throttle is applied while the wheel is unloaded.
The display rises to about 59–60 km/h, compared with the roughly 25 km/h shown before the adjustment.
This test begins at about 00:41.
The number shown in this test is an unloaded wheel-speed reading from the demonstration. It should not be treated as a guaranteed real-world riding speed. Rider weight, battery condition, road surface, incline, tire condition, and other factors can change actual speed.
The Full GT06 Speed Limit Sequence
The complete sequence shown in the official video is:
Turn off the scooter → hold the left brake lever → turn the scooter back on → twist the throttle fully three times → release the controls.
The order matters. If the sequence does not work, turn the scooter off and start again from the beginning rather than changing several controls at once.
Before Riding After the Adjustment
Do not immediately test maximum speed on a public road.
First check the scooter while stationary and confirm that:
- the throttle returns normally;
- both brakes operate correctly;
- the display is working normally;
- the scooter responds normally in each riding mode.
Higher-speed operation changes braking distance and the amount of time available to react to obstacles. Local rules may also restrict electric scooter speed on public roads or paths, so check the rules that apply where you ride.
About Restoring the Speed Limit
The supplied video clearly demonstrates how to lift the speed limit on the Arwibon GT06 scooter.
It does not separately demonstrate the restoration procedure in the material provided here. If your GT06 needs to be returned to its factory speed-limit setting, use the procedure confirmed for your exact scooter version rather than assuming that every controller version uses the same toggle sequence.
This tutorial follows the official Arwibon Scooter video “GT06 Speed Limit Adjustment | Arwibon GT06” and covers the control sequence shown for changing the speed-limit setting on the gt06 electric scooter.
