Arwibon Q30 Motor Cover Replacement Guide

Tools Required

• 4mm Allen wrench
• Rubber mallet or small hammer
• Waterproof silicone sealant
• Safety gloves

How to Remove the Motor Cover of the Arwibon Q30 Scooter

1. Prepare the Rear Motor Assembly

1. Remove the rear wheel motor assembly from the scooter before opening the motor housing.
2. Place the motor on a stable work surface.
3. Make sure the motor cable and connectors are protected during the repair process.

2. Remove the Motor Cover Screws

1. Use a 4mm Allen wrench to remove the screws around the motor cover.
2. Remove all fixing screws evenly.
3. Keep the screws and washers safely for reinstallation.

3. Separate the Motor Cover

1. After removing all screws, gently separate the motor cover from the motor housing.
2. If the cover is tight due to the seal or long-term use, lightly tap the edge with a rubber mallet.
3. Remove the damaged motor cover carefully.

Note: Do not hit the motor cable or internal motor parts during this process.

How to Install the Arwibon Q30 Scooter Motor Cover

1. Clean the Contact Surface

1. Remove old sealant or dirt from the motor housing edge.
2. Make sure the contact surface is clean and dry before installation.

2. Apply Waterproof Sealant

1. Apply a thin and even layer of waterproof silicone sealant around the motor housing edge.
2. Make sure the sealing line covers the complete connection area.
3. This step helps prevent water and moisture from entering the motor.

3. Install the New Motor Cover

1. Place the new motor cover onto the motor housing.
2. Align all screw holes carefully.
3. Insert the screws by hand first to avoid damaging the threads.
4. Use the Allen wrench to tighten the screws in a diagonal cross pattern.

Important: Tighten each screw gradually and evenly to ensure the cover sits flat.

4. Final Inspection

After installation:

• Check that the motor cover is fully seated.
• Confirm all screws are tightened.
• Check that the motor cable is not damaged or squeezed.
• Allow the silicone sealant to cure before riding.
