Rear Brake Disc Removal Guide

How to remove the rear wheel and rear brake disc from the Arwibon GT08.

1. Remove the Brake Caliper – 00:00–00:15
Use an Allen key to remove the two screws holding the brake caliper. Carefully move the caliper away from the brake disc.

2. Remove the Rear Wheel Nuts – 00:16–00:44
Use a suitable wrench to loosen and remove the axle nuts on both sides of the rear wheel.
Keep the nuts, washers, and other hardware in their original order.

3. Remove the Rear Wheel – 00:45–00:56
Carefully remove the rear wheel assembly from the swingarm.
Pay attention to the motor cable while moving the wheel. Do not pull or place unnecessary tension on the cable.

4. Remove the Brake Disc – 00:57–01:27
Place the wheel on a stable work surface.
Loosen the six screws holding the brake disc to the motor hub, then remove the screws and lift off the original disc.

How to remove the rear wheel and rear brake disc from the Arwibon GT08

How to install the replacement disc, reinstall the rear wheel, adjust the brake, and secure the motor cable.

1. Install the Brake Disc – 00:00–00:34
Position the replacement brake disc over the six mounting holes on the motor hub.
Install the six screws and tighten them securely.

2. Reinstall the Rear Wheel – 00:35–00:51
Place the rear wheel back between the swingarm mounting points.
Check the wheel position, then reinstall and tighten the axle hardware on both sides.

3. Install the Brake Caliper – 00:52–01:26
Position the brake caliper over the brake disc and align it with the mounting holes on the swingarm.
Reinstall the two caliper mounting screws and secure the caliper.

4. Adjust the Brake – 01:27–01:42
Adjust the brake as demonstrated in the video.
Rotate the wheel by hand while checking the brake. The wheel should rotate normally without excessive brake pad contact, and the brake should engage correctly when operated.

5. Secure the Motor Wire – 01:43–02:13
Route the motor cable along the inside of the swingarm and secure it with cable ties as shown in the video.
The motor wire must be fixed properly. Make sure it cannot contact the wheel or other moving parts.

How to Replace the Front and Rear Brake Discs on the Arwibon GT08 Scooter

Before riding:
Check all brake disc mounting screws.
Check both rear wheel axle nuts.
Make sure the brake caliper is securely mounted.
Rotate the wheel by hand and check for abnormal rubbing or binding.
Operate the brake and check that it engages normally.
Make sure the motor cable is secured away from the wheel and other moving parts.
Check that no wiring was pinched or pulled during installation.
Test the brake at low speed in a safe area before returning to normal riding. Do not ride if the wheel is loose, the brake does not operate correctly, or the motor cable can contact the wheel.
