1. Open the Deck Cover
Remove the screws on the scooter deck cover using the correct tool. Lift the cover carefully to access the battery and controller area.
2. Disconnect the Key Lock Wiring
Locate the key lock control wires inside the battery compartment. Disconnect the key switch connectors from the main wiring harness.
The Q30Pro key lock uses multiple small connectors. Check the wire colors and connector positions before unplugging.
3. Remove the Old Key Lock Assembly
Pull the disconnected wiring harness through the scooter frame toward the handlebar area.
Remove the handlebar grip and brake lever if needed to access the key lock assembly. Loosen the fixing screws and slide the old key lock switch out from the handlebar.
4. Install the New Key Lock Switch
Before routing the new cable, use a thin guide wire or similar tool to help pull the cable through the scooter stem.
Wrap the connector end with tape to make it easier to pass through the narrow tube without getting stuck.
5. Connect the Wiring
After the new cable reaches the battery compartment, connect the key lock wires to the matching connectors on the scooter harness.
Make sure all connectors are fully inserted and the wires are arranged properly.
6. Install the Lock Switch and Protective Sleeve
Fix the new key lock switch on the handlebar and reinstall the removed parts.
Organize the external wires and reinstall the spiral protective sleeve. Leave the required cable positions open for:
- Front brake line
- Rear brake line
- Headlight wire
Make sure the cables are not twisted, stretched, or pinched.
Final Check Before Riding
- Turn the key and confirm the scooter powers on normally.
- Check that the display and electrical functions work correctly.
- Confirm all connectors are secure.
- Make sure the wiring does not interfere with handlebar movement.
Do not ride the scooter if the key switch does not work properly or if any wiring remains loose.
