How to Remove and Install Brake Pads on Arwibon Q30 Scooter

1. Remove Old Brake Pads

  1. Remove the brake caliper from the scooter if needed for easier operation.
  2. Locate the retaining pin on the side of the brake caliper.
  3. Use an Allen wrench to loosen and remove the retaining pin.
  4. Pull out the retaining pin completely.
  5. Remove the old brake pads and the spring clip from the caliper.

2. Install New Brake Pads

  1. Place the spring clip between the two new brake pads.
  2. Insert the assembled brake pads into the brake caliper.
  3. Align the holes of the brake pads with the retaining pin hole.
  4. Insert the retaining pin and tighten it with an Allen wrench.
  5. Make sure the brake pads are fixed securely.

Final Check

After installation:

  • Confirm the brake disc is positioned correctly between the brake pads.
  • Rotate the wheel to check whether there is abnormal rubbing.
  • Press the brake lever several times to confirm normal braking.

Note: New brake pads may require a short break-in period before reaching the best braking performance. Test the brakes before riding.
