⚠️ Safety Notice

• Turn off the scooter completely before repair.
• Disconnect the battery power connector before touching motor wiring.
• The motor wheel is heavy. Support the scooter securely before removing it.
• Keep all washers and spacers in the original position during removal.

Tools Needed

• Allen wrench set
• Large wrench or socket wrench
• Screwdriver
• Scissors or cable cutter
• New cable ties

How to Removal an Arwibon GT08 Electric Scooter Motor

Step 1: Prepare the Scooter

1. Turn off the GT08 scooter.
2. Place the scooter on a stable work surface.
3. Lift the wheel that needs replacement:
   • For front motor replacement, support the front of the scooter.
   • For rear motor replacement, support the rear of the scooter.
4. Make sure the wheel is completely off the ground before starting.

Step 2: Disconnect Motor Wiring

1. Remove the deck cover screws with an Allen wrench.
2. Carefully open the deck cover to access the controller area.
3. Locate the motor cable connection.
4. Disconnect the battery power plug first.

⚠️ Important:
Never remove motor wires while the battery is connected.

5. Disconnect the motor cables:
   • Phase wires (yellow, blue, green)
   • Motor signal connector
6. Cut the cable ties holding the motor cable to the frame.
7. Pull the motor cable out from the original routing position.

Step 3: Remove Brake Components

1. Locate the brake caliper near the wheel.
2. Remove the caliper fixing screws.
3. Carefully move the caliper aside.

⚠️ Do not press the brake lever after removing the caliper.

4. Keep the brake caliper away from the working area to prevent damage.

Step 4: Remove the Old Motor and Tire Assembly

1. Locate the axle nuts on both sides of the wheel.
2. Use a large wrench to loosen the axle nuts.
3. Remove the nuts and keep the washers in order.
4. Hold the motor wheel firmly with both hands.
5. Pull the wheel assembly out from the front fork or rear swing arm.

⚠️ Note:
The motor wheel is heavy. Do not let it drop suddenly, as this may damage the motor cable or connectors.

How to Install an Arwibon GT08 Electric Scooter Motor

Step 5: Install the New Motor and Tire Assembly

1. Place the new motor wheel into the original mounting position.
2. Make sure the axle sits completely inside the mounting slot.
3. Install the original washers and spacers in the same order.
4. Tighten both axle nuts evenly.

Check:

• Wheel is centered
• Axle is fully seated
• Wheel rotates smoothly

Step 6: Reconnect Motor Wiring

1. Route the new motor cable through the original cable path.
2. Connect the motor phase wires:
   • Yellow → Yellow
   • Blue → Blue
   • Green → Green
3. Connect the motor signal plug.
4. Secure the cable with new cable ties.

Make sure:

• Cable does not touch the tire
• Cable is not stretched when turning
• Connectors are fully inserted

Step 7: Reinstall Brake Components

1. Install the brake caliper back onto the mounting bracket.
2. Tighten the fixing screws.
3. Spin the wheel by hand.
4. Check that the brake disc does not rub excessively.
5. Adjust the caliper position if needed.

Final Test

Before closing the deck cover:

1. Reconnect the battery power plug.
2. Turn on the scooter.
3. Lift the wheel and slowly test the throttle.
4. Check:
   • Motor rotation direction
   • Smooth acceleration
   • No abnormal noise
   • Brake operation

After confirming everything works correctly:

1. Organize the internal wiring.
2. Reinstall the deck cover.
3. Tighten all screws.
